Don't get emotionally attached to a person no matter who it is before you get married, make your heart and mind devoted to Allah alone, and everything else is second, so when something bad happens u don't brake. A large portion of your heart is full of iman and love for Allah, if your heart is attached to someone else you will be gone when they are gone.

Since this is a complicated disease we still have to do monthly check ups to monitor his progress. Still need your duas. May Allah bless us all.

I fell for a guy who was severly lacking in deen. I liked him so much and thought he could be my soulmate but I cut him off. It hurts to this day and I miss him. But I gave him up for the sake of Allah and I find peace knowing that. My pain will be temporary.

I am in the same boat as yours. I have fell for a girl, we talk regularly. She said she will change, start wearing Hijab and everything. But she said she will do it for me, not for Allah (s.w.t). That is a very dangerous statement in my opinion. I am in such an indecision, its running havoc through my mind. I have never been with such an understanding person before and she wants to get married, but her religious commitment till now is questionable.

Marriage is not easy and requires effort and patience to understand each other, the bond has to be understanding and experiences to make choices in correct decision.
Everybody should work on themselves, getting knowledge, gaining taqwa, growing sincerity in worship of Allah.
But it's always more responsibility on men, on brothers. Why? Brothers are shepherds for their families, mentors for their wives (sisters).
Their actions, behavior, character, efforts reflect in their wives. If parents are righteous then children try to look up to their parents and absorb their good character, good habits and their iman is growing by the will of Allah.
So, brothers, we have to be example of righteousness for our wives and children. Then in sha allah our wives will become righteous and our children.
May Allah bless us (brothers and sisters) with strong iman, fear of Him, good character, patience (sabr), love and care for our spouses and children, parents, relatives, our ummah.
Thankfully no spouse so I can focus on being pious and religious activities

I met a guy who I was interested in however because of my parents and their mentality I had to let him go to protect him, I did it for the sake of Allah too as I didn't want to commit haram nor did I want that for him. What can I do my parents aren't open to me finding somebody myself but they have nobody for me either.. 😔 I'm at the age of marriage please ya Allah make it easy for me.

النِّكَاحُ مِنْ سُنَّتِي فَمَنْ لَمْ يَعْمَلْ بِسُنَّتِي فَلَيْسَ مِنِّي وَتَزَوَّجُوا فَإِنِّي مُكَاثِرٌ بِكُمُ الأُمَمَ وَمَنْ كَانَ ذَا طَوْلٍ فَلْيَنْكِحْ وَمَنْ لَمْ يَجِدْ فَعَلَيْهِ بِالصِّيَامِ فَإِنَّ الصَّوْمَ لَهُ وِجَاءٌ "
It was narrated from Aishah that:
the Messenger of Allah said: "Marriage is part of my sunnah, and whoever does not follow my sunnah has nothing to do with me. Get married, for I will boast of your great numbers before the nations. Whoever has the means, let him get married, and whoever does not, then he should fast for it will diminish his desire."
