During LVMH Watch Week in Dubai in January 2020 I discovered the the brands novelties together with CEO Ricardo Guadalupe.
Ricardo told me: "In order to push back the limits of mastering time, we have developed a brand of savoir-faire all of its own: the art of fusion. Be the first, be unique, be different”.
This was the philosophy upon which Hublot built up an excellent reputation in just a few decades on the very competitive high-quality timepiece market. The focus is perfectly ingrained in the idea of the art of fusion, which Hublot has applied since 1980 (40 years ago!) when Carlo Crocco designed the first case combining natural rubber and gold with a shape inspired by a ship’s porthole.
When Jean-Claude Biver & Ricardo Guadalupe took the helm of the brand in 2004, and they made this art of fusion into a founding spirit that they deployed as they wished, combining traditional watchmaking savoir-faire with the most cutting-edge technologies and unexpected materials. In 2005, the Big Bang collection, a chronograph with an elegant and contemporary design, enjoyed international success. In its 6,000 sqm Manufacture on Lake Geneva in Switzerland, Hublot is constantly pushing back the boundaries of horological innovation.

Outstanding video Alexander, thank you. The sense of fun and energy you bring in interviews is a breath of fresh air. The funky music is great and a welcome departure from the usual dreary jazz offerings. Hublot have nailed it with that bracelet. It's superb.

I wasn't really a fan of the Big Bang until I have seen it on the metal bracelet here on your channel. I have to say, Big Bang was born to be paired with the bracelet!
That was the goal... a bracelet like this one is not easy to design and manufacture...

Wow the black ceramic one reminds me of the Casio G Oak Royal Shock and that is not meant as an insult! BTW the best feature is that they all don't have a date function!!

@@WatchAdvisor No cynicism! Honestly. I'm not usually into Hublots but I think these pieces look amazing! And I really don't usually like dates on the watch. They look so much cleaner without them. The VC Overseas for example would look stunning without the date that just breaks up the perfect symmetry.
2mnyshp Thanks for clarifying, I hear you... I share the opinion with the date when the latter disturbs the design and the clarity of a dial. But there are also good examples with date. Once again thanks for clarifying...

Die Big Bang Integral Kollektion ist wirklich ein Wahnsinn! Wird leider wohl noch fast ein Jahr dauern, bis die Uhren in den Geschäften sind... Tolles Video!

@@WatchAdvisor Ich bin neugierig! Als die Big Bang Unico in 42mm im März 2018 vorgestellt wurde, haben die ersten Modelle erst im Dezember ihren Weg in die Wiener Boutique gefunden...

superfast30 HUBLOT has its niche and the watches sell... That’s what LVMH, the owner, wants...
Interesting no steel... The use of colour is nice, though the rainbow feels like a trend that is being copied but that is ok. I still find the use of the dial side quick release unbelievable as the watch can be stolen so easy from your wrist this way, surely reverse side makes more sense.

The luxury market will in near future works basically to Chinese ....I have been in Las Vegas two years ago and Chinese were all over fine watch boutiques buying watches 20 k and up...😳

Scuderia F1 trio o watches: that Platinum model wasnbwsr value Platinum watch about £34K. Rolex DD40 was until 1 Jan £9.5K cheaper than the Platinum Daytona £57,750, so £48,250 compared to £34K Hublot. Like the Spirit of Big Bang Watches and the new Mecca 10 10 day power reserve and Hublot ‘one click straps. Liked the Yellow Sapphire SOBB, but £92K. Would have a trip to Hublot Monaco to get one.
Ich hatte die Woche das erste mal die Version in grauer Keramik am Arm. Leider war ich auch sehr enttäuscht, wirkt 1 zu 1 wie Plastik. War eine tolle Idee, aber da ist Hublot wohl auch nicht der erste Hersteller der sich an Keramik die Zähne ausbeißt. Mal schauen wie die Titan Version in echt wirkt.
Das Gefühl von "Plastik" entsteht primär durch das Mako an Gewicht... Wen man sich einmal damit angefreundet hat, dann sieht man eine Keramikuhr anders...
@@WatchAdvisor das stimmt schon, durch das "fehlende" Gewicht wirkt sie nicht so wertig. Aber leider war es auch die Optik, ich hatte Bilder gemacht und diese ins Uhrforum gepostet. Es waren wirklich alle enttäuscht. Aber ich gebe der Titan Version noch eine Chance. Alles andere hat mich begeistert. Größe, Verarbeitung etc.

The Spirit of Big Bang is the HUBLOT I personally don’t like... I wouldn’t have added it to the collection... Just my two cents...

Good products with good pricing. But hublot also love to flood the market which ends up ruining their brand. Very much classic listed company problem: management & shareholders greed

@@WatchAdvisor most brands that are under a listed group would tend to have huge discount offerings from their retail networks. To make it worse, these watches also do not hold strong resell value in later years. Why? My bet is that supply is very much over demand. The sad thing is it's not like Hublot is a bad watch, they own great designs & own huge young followers. I just wish they can stop oversupplying, make their watches a bit rare so then collectors can also happy to see their collection appreciate in value.

Habe heute die uhr all black bekommen und bin von dem Band sehr enttäuscht.
Sehr dünn und mit scharfen Kanten gefertigt. Die Schliesse ist noch scharfkantiger. Der Tragekonfort ist schlecht. Ganz schlechte Umsetzung Hublot.
Warum hast Du Dir die nicht vor dem Kauf genauer angesehen? Hast Du Dir auf Verdacht online gekauft? Wen dem so ist, dann hast Du ja ein Rückgaberecht und davon würde ich einfach Gebrauch machen...
weil sie kein konzenssionär hatte. die uhr geht auch zurück denn ein Band muss man auch innen gut fertigen. Meine rado für 1/10 des hublot preises trägt sich viel besser.
hublot ist immer mehr ein bling bling hersteller.
Bevor Du sie zurücksendest vergewissere Dich noch, ob das Band wirklich so ist wie Du eines hast. Es könnte ja sein, dass Deines einfach nicht perfekt ist. Sollte allerdings das der Standard sein, den Du da beschrieben hast, dann weisst Du ja was Du zu tun hast...
@@WatchAdvisor hi, habe es genau geprüft. Schliesse scharfkantig Flanken der Glieder auch. Zudem ist es aus meiner Sicht zu dünn geraten was die Uhr beim tragen noch Kopflastiger macht. Hublot hat einen optischen Leckerbissen gemacht aber der Tragekonfort ist nicht gut.
