I have ordered one DS 7 2023 Opera here in Norway. I did test-drive the previous DS 7 (2021-2022) and found it really good! I used to have an Audi Q4 E-tron (2022) and to be honest I found the DS 7 much better in everything: Comfort, driving, and the feeling of a premium car. Audi was ok but was so expensive to add all the extras (which are essentials here in Norway considering the cold climate). DS 7 offers almost all of it in their standard package, and yet I paid less price for this than the Audi i had. I feel like the german cars are just popular for their brand now, but their quality is decreasing. Excited to head towards a different direction now.
I am very confident this car will be the one I have been searching for all along.

Hi Anza! When will you get your car? What is the estimated time delivery? And congrats for your choice. I have a DS4 2022 and I an confirm that the quality is higher than most others.

Thanks for this feedback it’s very helpful I am considering buying it also looked at Audi as an alternative option but this makes a lot of sense the issue for many is this car is previously unheard of

I'm not sure why Alexandra is not getting as many compliments for her reviews as Rory does on all his videos. Rory will always be the goat but I love Alexandra's refreshingly different and calmer style. A welcome addition to the channel.

I order DS 7 E-Tense 300 Opera in Platinum colour today.
I’m also owner of Audi, it is Q5 which I bought in 2019.
For new car my first option was Mercedes, new GLC, but I decided to go with DS 7 not just because of price, like Ahmed wrote in DS 7 Opera package you almost get everything, I just added Focal sound system, Night Vision and of course Black Pack.
For Mercedes or Audi you need to add lot of things and from 70K € you can easily come to 90K €, but still don't get everything what DS 7 have.
I’m looking forward to enjoying in my new car.
Excellent review Alex. No bs, just very informative containing all the info you need about the DS. You're too good for Auto Trader. They seem to keep you in the background and don't give you half enough reviews. I've only seen two. This one and the BMW I5.ooking forward to seeing more.

Wow!!! That clock took the cake!!!! America cars have made some improvements but they are still outclassed by Citroen and cars like this. (Shaking my head in disbelief)
Really great alternative to the usual German premium cars. I would definitely consider it. Seems like they still haven't added a heads up display option though for the DS7 (didn't notice it in the video), despite offering it for the 3 and 4 for some time now.

The night vision is most definitely NOT a gimmick. I've driven a 3008 with an identical system and at night it has alerted me to the presence of animals and humans by the side of the road that had become visible to my eyes only a few seconds later.
Yeah, i agree, it is a very useful feature in rural areas with low lighting. Also the vehicle could do some light offroading as well.

I agree it definitely is not a gimmick, it can literally save someone's life by alerting on possible collision with humans and animals, and it is working flawlessly
Those are not "large reflectors" in the back. Those are lights needed for when you open the tailgate, cause u need warning lights to be visible.

Bit pricey list price but low BiK and cheap leases = fantastic option for company car drivers / salary sacrifice schemes. This is cheaper than an X3 and Q5 PHEV on my work scheme (and better spec as standard with a bigger boot).
The front end has some elements taken from the Aero Sport Lounge concept. Probably this is the production version of that.

Depreciation must be severe, tho. French cars are really affected by it and it's a shame.

Another great review, Alexandra! Correct me if I'm wrong... but at 1:37 I don't think they're all reflector... they should be additional functioning indicator/tail/brake lights that will operate when the tailgate is open as the regular ones are mounted on there and they won't be visible when it's open (for those times when you're carrying long internal loads that prevent being able to close the tailgate fully).

Front reminds me of an escalade and also 62k for a fancy Citroen is a bit much but I mean if you spec it to be approx 55k that's way cheaper than a model y and it's better, more plush and more comfortable than a model y
Citroen are a luxury car brand and are as good as the British and German brands. Only a Rolls or Maybach would offer a smoother driving experience.

Dont like that the main driving light dont move left an right anymore. That was an aconic and verry cool fetures, and it make the DS brand special.

I sometimes wish we got some French designs in the US, but they're really hit or miss. This looks good, but some models make that car Homer Simpson designed look restrained and elegant.

Being a younger person watching this, I feel as if the pace and narration was like watching location location location….daytime tv boring. I would suggest scrapping the template and be yourself, freestyle it!! This was a step backwards auto trader

I guess Audi had a load of gen1 Q7 rear bumpers laying around and sold them to Citroen.
Another lovely looking car let down by it's stupidly awkward touchscreen.

Wow DS are trying to look like a Lexus.... Good attention to detail. However, over £60,000 is way beyond a joke. What market buyer are they aiming at.... £40 to £60k is a serious amount of money. As for 238mpg!! They need to be massively fined for false advertising.
238mpg as long as you are in the city..motorway probably a real 30-40mpg 😒

Grill aside there's not a great deal going on externally, certainly wouldn't say the style really differentiates it from any other eurobox.

1:38 young lady...those red stuff not just big one piece of reflectors.... They also function as secondary turn signals,rear brake lights & red fog lights....
Why?
Just like Audi SUV q5,q7...the opening of tailgate or rear hatch also take the primary tail lights upwards with it...
Render that primary tail lights are useless.
So as back up at bumper must also have functional secondary tail lights at bumper...
Or like first gen Vauxhall Insignia Estate... It's secondary brake and turn signals are imbeded inside inner rear pillars if the rear hatch went up...

That would be entertaining. But I do recall him being overtly biased against French cars in the past. I loved the old Top Gear but there was always stuff like that that I didn't like. Was a fun ride though, that's for sure.

@@-DC- we don't like it and the market is offer driven so the SUVs are here en masse precisely because car makers seek those higher margins for what essentially are sedans with taller and heavier bodies.
P.s. we're the buyers, of course we don't care about *selling* product.
@@Kraven83 The offers may be there but the consumer still swayed the market. Cars like the Qashqai and Juke broke the mould and created consumer demand. Once the manufacturers realised jacking up the ride height meant they could jack up the prices, that sealed the deal, but it's just a reaction to demand. We who don't like it are in the minority.

Fabulous inside and out.....but unfortunately, it will probably age quite quickly....and way too expensive. Audi have a classy, ageless design that still looks fresh with every update, minor as they are. Many manufacturers just try too hard to look sharp and modern and just end up with something bling and tasteless.....yes BMW, I mean you.
I like BMW designs more than Audi. I feel like Audi hasn't changed since I was a kid. They look good but I've lost interest. BMW's are polarizing af atm, but I love the new approach if I'm being honest.
