Thanks for watching. xoxo - Zábava
Proof that music today, is taking a backslide, with few exceptions.
Prince was as big as MJ, if not bigger. And that's it.
I am 54 went on my first date at 14 years old to see this movie. We still dont know what "Purple Rain" means but the whole theatre was stunned with tears falling and we cant explain why? Its a very emotional song.
"Watch the movie!"
I cry listening to the 1985 live version the way he made the guitar sing is unlike anything I've ever heard. I'm glad to have been alive at the same as this musical legend
And now you know why on 22 April 2016 the entire world was bathed in purple.... he was everything we wish music should be.
The range of emotions in your face as you listen to this shows how beautiful your soul must be
Thank you 💗💗
What's even more impressive is when Prince performed this song during the Super Bowl halftime show IN THE RAIN!
Prince was a musical genius
Prince and Michael Jackson helped to define the 80s pop rock sound. They were both incredible songwriters and performers. Great reaction Mo!
The man is not his dad, but the promoter at the club where he was performing. It's a scene from the movie called "Purple Rain" which is somewhat autobiographical. Definitely worth watching the movie - the entire soundtrack is phenomenal.
If I could like this comment a thousand times, I would. The song is amazing. Reminds of Still Loving You by the Scorpions. Not lyrically or musically but in the sense that, for the type of songs they are, they are the pinnacle. To fully appreciate the video, you need to watch the entire Purple Rain movie. Every song is superb.
It’s not somewhat autobiographical. It’s purely a drama . He wanted Stevie Nicks to write the lyrics to this song but she refused
@@caperboy1169 yes because she couldn’t do it.. why did you left this information out of your message... now you message says she refused it but actually it was she couldn’t do it because she was too afraid and overwhelmed...
@@MKitchen75 didn’t know I had to be specific
@@caperboy1169 well your message could have been missunderstood and needed more info why she refused
Is there ANYTHING Prince could not do? Guitar, drums, keyboard, piano, great vocals, great lyrics...and he could play basketball like a boss.Ntm he was physically gorgeous. Truly an original. Rest in Peace Prince
Can you, or someone, explain how sometimes when Prince talks his voice both sounds like a toddler/girl and Barry White( singer with a very deep voice during and a little bit before Princes' time) at the same time, LOL?
he could not refrain from overdosing.
I love the man, but Prince couldn't rap. He tried many times.
you forgot cook pancakes lol
"When Doves Cry" Prince's Masterpiece. From the same movie, directed, acted and sung by Prince
No way. This is his masterpiece. Doves is great for having no baseline, but this is his masterpiece
My brother brought home this album…yes I said album lol, we were teenagers in the 80’s. I fell in love with Prince that night. I lost my brother about a year later in a car accident. After all these years whenever I hear Prince on the radio I feel a special connection to my brother. Like it’s a special message from him.
I’m so happy you discovered Prince.
God Bless The Dead, peace to the whole family
God bless you man. Sending love
Baby girl, never hide your emotions. Prince is in the GOAT category. I'm from Minneapolis and have been to Pasiley Park many times to see how the Genius worked. RIP PRINCE. (he would have loved your reaction too) LOVE from Minneapolis.
I believe that up there in heaven Prince, Freddie Mercury, George Michael, David Bowie and Chester Bennington are putting on a show.
The man was pure musical genius. Period.
After 45 years this song still hits me just like it did the first time they played it on the radio.
Prince was a very, very, very talented person...musician/guitarist, singer, writer,...all around performer, I'm sorry I never got to see him in person...my loss, regret.
The way to understand this song is to watch the movie. Prince was a one and only. There has never been or will be another.
Can’t seem to find it on Netflix
@@MorenikejiTaiwo Hey baby girl. You can rent or buy on CZcams
Prince was a musical prodigy who played many instruments well, and a prolific songwriter who wrote hit songs for many artists. At only 5' 2"", he was a giant in the musical industry.
and he was a terror on the basketball court. :)
He could play a mean game of hoop too!
This song defined the 80 s and it's the decades trademark
One of the best songs of all time , Especialy the long version. , the eighties nothing is better musicaly
RIP Prince such a great artist gone before his time . Thank you for the music and the memories .
Don’t be ashamed of shedding a tear after hearing purple rain .
Purple rain is the tears that flow through half closed eyes when we weep . At least that’s what I always believed the song was about.
The best songs last forever!!
A complex human with a gift to make 🎶 music. RIP
Prince was from my home town..Twin Cities. I watched him from 1980, before he became nationally known. I could not take my eyes off of him.
Most powerful song ever written. Rip Prince 1958-2016
The Sky is Blue, Blood Red Moon, Red+Blue=Purple! Rain falls from the Sky Thus Purple Rain!
Michael will forever be the king and Prince will forever be the prince! 2 of the best artist to ever perform.
No Prince was all around better.
Bro, the way she was instantly so blown away and then started crying, as if she's experiencing a tremendous loss or something, before the first musical note was even struck... Nah, this girl is having a REAL experience rn! So RAW! These are the types of reactions that I was looking for! The raw emotion! Prince was something different. He was a _very_ special one, and one of THE greatest in music history, ever.
RIP to the GOAT!! 🥺🐐💜🎶🔥
The greatest musician that ever lived.
He’s good!💗
RIP prince, another black genius, gone too soon
Agreed. He was a genius! He learned and played over 22 different instruments on his own!
Every time i hear this song, still after so many times i still have the reaction that you have....it makes you feel every emotion...i get your emotion...it can't even be explained..
This is what music should be...emotion💜 you are a good person with lots of emotion...if you were not you would not be receiving this song as u just showed..its overwhelming😢
ya... michael jackson wished he had prince's talent.
The man was magical,as was everything he created.
There was nothing, musically, Prince couldn't do. Prince might be the greatest artist we've lost in the last 20 years. React to Prince's halftime show at the Super Bowl.
I'm sure many here have said this already....But watch his movie "Purple Rain"...you will LOVE it.
Just so you know, nobody, nobody plays the guitar like Prince !!!
This is probably one of the gretaest songs ever written. I have chills everytime that i listen to this masterpiece 😍😍
I used to listen to Prince in the 80s from my parents record player with headphones on. I will tell you that there is no sound like that from a 33 on high volume as long as you have a decent stereo. It brings the singer in the room next to you. The sound is rich and pure. I love Prince's music he was a genius. He was a tortured man, his faith was strong, and he worried about his salvation his entire life. You gave us a gift with this pure, and emotional reaction. I got a little bit of an innocent crush on you young lady. Great job! Thanks!
Hello, my dear - please listen to and see Prince's other hits - such brilliant ones as "Diamonds and Pearls", "Kiss" "1999" and all the other world songs.
A treat ...
WELCOME to PRINCE & THE REVOLUTION BABY c/o 1984!!! You MUST WATCH THE MOVIE, AND YOU'LL UNDERSTAND HIS SOULFULNESS WITH THIS SONG. IT WAS VERY PERSONAL TO HIM!!!
Prince was a true musical genius, a prodigy. You should really sit down and watch the entire movie.
We who listened, experienced it even more so. There will never be another and we’re still trying to describe him.
The entire Purple Rain album is just genius! "When Doves Cry" is probably his best known, but there are so many magnificent songs. The film was a little autobiographical and fantastic!
How have you never heard this song, really?
I live in New Zealand & I don't know many people who haven't heard this song let alone the MAGIC of Prince.
Personally, I don't think Prince was anything like MJ, they were both Genius', G.O.A.T.'s but Prince is the one that does IT for me, he was so bloody talented, I miss him. although I never met him, R.I.P MJ & Prince xx
One of the greatest of all time,so love this song, real artist live forever!
Have you been through a lot of pain? You seem to be one of those ppl that do not like to see anyone hurting. You have a very pure heart, you r rare if I am correct.
Please on CZcams pull up Prince performing purple rain at the American Music awards 1985.
Have your tissues ready! 😃
The GOAT. Prince Rogers Nelson REST EASY 💜💜💜💜
votre visage est si expressif, et il y a tellement d'émotion au travers de "purple rain", que ce soit le lyrics ou dans le SOLO de PRINCE. tres, tres belle musique, et vous aussi vous etes belle .
A gospel song that wasn't gospel...just amazing.
I really miss sometime good old times from 1980´s, when music was... pure music.
And breathe. He is the most prolific musucian that ever walked this earth. He is God. Always will be. Much loved and missed. ❤❤❤❤❤
Oh man, I forgot how powerful this song is. I loved this song when I was a kid.
Prince, extreme talent, extreme showman. He does a lot onstage preparing the audience into the point of mind he wants you to be, so maybe the confusion in what you feel emotion wise, of this single segment of that entire show may be caused by the fact we don't see any of the show prior to this segment. In effect we are not totally involved in the show, as not fully prepared for this song to be seen this way cut separate from the rest of the show.
Love your reactions. I really like the way you analyze each song you react to and tell us what you get from them.
Always a Thumbs up to you.
Plus of course, you are eye candy so that makes each song even better....
Purple Rain is an experience
I'm probably the person who loves this song the most, I listen to it almost every day for 3 years
He was an extraordinary talent, sorely missed. Played pretty much every instrument on his albums .. but his guitar was up there with Hendrix, Santana and Clapton.
Every metal head I know will always listen to Prince.
Welcome to a new musical journey. Recommend Get Off.
Prince was mind & soul to its core! MJ was entertainment.
The best "Purple Rain Reaction "you had me emotional....good job.😂😂😂😂😂
Surely the purest ever talent in popular music.
The endless country style guitar riff is what I imagine is the sound of the gates of heaven opening.
If you really are hearing this man for the first time here, welcome to Prince👍
Incredible voice, a musical GENIUS. BRILLIANT guitarist. Sadly, died way to soon!
that is what as known as a master piece....that is that for sure.
Lovely and powerful reaction.
Yes, Prince was a gifted writer and performer.
Purple Rain is one of my all time favorites
This is the music of my youth. I can not tell you or express how much I loved Prince.
His music is so good. There is not another musician like him. His music is extremely diverse and he always brings passion to his music.
I was probably 13 when I first discovered Prince back in the early 80s. While I adore songs like Purple Rain I was often a much bigger fan of the songs that didn’t get released to radio.
Sometime just do yourself a favor and sit down and play his albums from his first album through. You can hear hints of each new album in each album. It’s like a perfect time capsule. You can see him form and change from a young man into a spiritual human.
We lost a beautiful soul when he passed away. People like to talk down because he died of an overdose but the reality is he was in pain from years of abusing his body for us and his art.
I saw you compared him to MJ, please don’t get me wrong MJ is GREAT, but Prince to me is just next level. I know others may disagree. Prince was a musician first, entertainer with an exceptional voice. I think the comparison comes from just the era and not necessarily that their music was that much alike.
Hope you continue down the journey of Prince you will fall in love, be in shock, general awe and admiration while enjoying a huge catalog of interesting funky music
My favourite Prince song is "Raspberry Beret" - so much fun.
Not only do you have one of the most beautiful faces I've seen on these many reaction videos, but judging by your wonderful emotions, I can see that you have a beautiful soul. Don't lose that gift. Always remember that although physical beauty may fade with age, the beautiful soul remains forever.
Thank you 🙏
Yeah...I'm crying too.
This is a movie clip. You need to watch the film, Purple Rain.
There’s a guitar part towards the end that I just am in love with.
So-- happy you found the power of his music. He IS music and he is real.
The 80s had such a great taste in music I swear. This song, Purple Rain....as I was listening and watching it with you I got chills sent down my spine. Not a lot of songs do that to me. This song is just ultimately super powerful in absolutely everything. Musical composition, the chords, the lyrics, just the whole song in general. So freaking beautiful. This song is just amazing. :)
That was a performance man… that was a performance!!!
Through a song, that man touched hearts. It’s so legendary and you could play this generation to generation. There is just something about it that you can just… feel
Your reaction got me in tears.
Listen to Insatiable by Prince woooooooow!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Somewhat like MJ, Prince was an immense talent, sometimes misunderstood, but overwhelmingly immense. The move Purple Rain must be watched to appreciate the back story of this video. Like MJ the world lost Prince tragically far too soon. We really miss the music he took with him that we will never enjoy. Greetings from Arizona, USA. Be safe and happy.
We miss this in music today. 🎶 not just that Prince was a musical genius " witch he was" the artistry in theatrical rock.
He was a Musical Genius!!
As a rock and metal fan Prince is a Rock star and belongs in the rock hall of Fame as much as any rock star.
This is a masterclass in building something from nothing - the actual song isn't much... - on pure vibe, attitude, energy, personality, soul. You can see how he did it in "Purple Rain 1983, Prince and The Revolution - The recording of". It was the first performance of guitarist Wendy. It was the first time the band played the song and most of it is improvised over simple repeated chord changes. Prince is testing out guitar sounds in the drawn out intro. There is a second verse that falls flat and was edited out of the album version. But at some point it all comes together and it's supernatural, magic.
Such a beautiful reaction. Now do yourself a favour and watch the movie Purple Rain to get the full context of this song. It hits even harder when you see the build up to this song. Or maybe just record yourself watching the movie then post your reactions to as many songs as you like.
You need to react to the Movie"Purple Rain" then you'll understand what his emotions are all about..
One of the best Soundtracks ever !!!
Other performances by Morris Day and the Time, and Apollonia 6, which is actually a 3 girls group.
Definitely a must !!
When I was at high school back in the 80’s, some of the girls were obsessed by this man
This song is epic and meaningful and I’m glad you felt it. Prince was big on having female musicians in his band. I hope you react to more Prince, one of the greatest musical artists of all time!
I don’t know why, but always kind compared Mikel Jackson with price, but they complete different artists, personally I felt like Price was a more genuine music artist.
In the beginning, those 2 girls looked terrified of Prince! But luckily, he kissed one of them towards the end to ease the tension. Prince and Michael Jackson were the superpowers of this era.🌹
I was lucky enough to be in high school when Prince & Michael Jackson "hit their stride" 😎 Spectacular time to be young & experience all of that... GENTLEMAN RIP 🙏 🕊 You touched so many lives !
There is so much to say about Prince and his music but I have rarely heard a more " accurate at first hearing it" than yours. Your first reaction was "attitude" ! That more or less sums up his whole carreer. Brilliant reaction.
He was multi talented. He played 14 different instruments and wrote his own songs 👏🏻✌🏻
That was Prince's real band. You should watch the movie Purple Rain I really think you'd enjoy it and the majority, if not all of it was filmed in Minnesota. My elderly mother passed away on 9/11/10 and she loved this song. Prince reached multiple generations with his music; he was a legend and is missed so very much. I'm proud to say I'm from Minnesota, the state that gave the world Prince Rogers Nelson!
💜 Prince! This is from his movie Purple Rain. 🎬 You should watch it ☺👍
To share a tear hearing this masterpiece, represents the songs purity and clarity that prince captured,he didn't perform he capters you in a moment where there's no time or space the emotion he brings in peoples harte purely reflects his honest effort to make you think deeply.about what he is transmiting.
Great song great reaction. Please never stop smiling. My heart is warmed by your beautiful smile. Thank you
Great reaction to a great artist. Thank you so much! That was not his dad.
If you see the full photo, this is the closing scene..You will cry a river.
Whas part of the security of prince concert in stadiun in Lisbon Portugal in early 90s.pure talent artist
Prince what he does and could do is no different only the ICONS of MUSIC could do.. is get you in a hypnotic trance state with his Artistry and Musicality.. very few could pull it off.. Jim Morrison of the DOORS.. comes to mind, Jimmy Hendrix is another.. MJ of course and Freddie Mercury, maybe Bowie and Led Zeppelin with Plant.. but few could give you just a ''talk to''.. on stage while supposedly singing and give you so much RAW POWER... from his stage presence as it carries the tune and song all the way to go the distance...
There is so much beauty in that song.
