It's hard to imagine that someone like Prince actually existed.
it is said that when we evolve to be lovesexy enough the Paisley One shall return
Prince falls under description of phenomena.
He almost seemed like a divine spirit that brought music to save humanity --- and then he left, his mission accomplished
@@fredwerza3478 yes same though here
I’ve always said this! If we had no proof, no one would believe what he can actually do.
Take it all in girl!! He was and still is THE BEST!!
Fun fact: Prince never recorded a studio version of “Purple Rain”. The famous version on the album Purple Rain is also a live version (with some edits).
Edits and overdubbed instruments. The original spontaneous live version is spectacular though.
@@stevebennett9750 the overdubs are mostly strings though.
@@joel2421 true. Original is still on dailymotion
10 years old at the time he's 12 now.

Taj Farrant Purple Rain.
He also sent an instrumental demo to Stevie Nicks so she could add lyrics but she couldn’t. She still has the tape.
His Music FILLS The Universe!!!
No other musician has been on the cover of ‘guitar’ ‘drums’ ‘bass’ & ‘keyboard’ magazines…. HE WAS MUSICAL SUPREMACY … he did it all wrote everything arranged produced he needed no one to help make music or an album… later he chose to involve more ppl but he was literally the music man… miss him terribly. 💜
No wonder there's no more aspiring rock stars anymore, Prince slammed 'that' door shut baby!!
A true musical genius. Multi instrumentalist. One of the best live performers of all time. Great reaction.
One of the best musicians and entertainers ever to grace our planet.
Rest in Peace Prince.
After Freddie👊
@@familieflamez4649 Prince did more than Freddie
@@familieflamez4649
Problem for you though. Freddie and Queen was a BAND.
Prince was a ONE MAN BAND. argument is over before it even started. 8000+ songs and albums for the next 100+ years in the vault. Prince was not one of, he was THE best musician of all time. He is a musical martyr for Christ sake. He breathed music 24/7 til the end.
@@familieflamez4649 Freddie
I think you forgot about Michael Jackson
Thank you for reacting to Prince … his musical legacy needs to be shared to continue x
That actually brought tears to my eyes. The man was a genius!!!
After all these years it still gets me right in the "feels". The album Purple Rain literally changed the landscape of music.
Purple Rain was released in 1985 right?
I was only 10 in January 1985 when I see this performance. It was mind blowing and still do today! Miss the Royalty Of The Badness
Prince is a one man army. He checks every box 💜 Saw him live over 20 times. He's amazing!
Prince's best live performance was the Super Bowl halftime show in the rain. It's a Prince must!
That performance was The Best
While it was the best half time show, it was not his best live performance. His best were the after shows at Paisley Park. When he played live, in his own home- you were gifted & blessed to hear him at his best in front of 100 people.
Here's the full story of the song.
- In 1982 as the rehearsals for the "1999" tour were ending and the tour was about to start, OG member of the revolution, guitarist Dez Dickerson told Prince that as soon as the tour was over, he'd be leaving the band. Citing exhaustion and new interests as his reasons. Dez is the guy in the "1999" with the black and white lightning shaped guitar and the Japanese bandana.
Prince, ever the understanding one told him he understood but he still had a problem, who could he get to replace Dez? Little did he know that the illusive replacement was already in his touring entourage. Because keyboard player Lisa Coleman brought along her lover Wendy Melvoin.
Prince at one time heard Wendy play guitar in Lisa's hotel room, doing these complex jazz chords and impressed with what he heard, invited her over for a full band sound check. During the soundcheck, the resulting connection between the rest of the band and Wendy made it clear, she was going to be Dez' replacement.
So the tour comes to a close and Dez goes his own way and with Wendy in tow the band starts rehearsals for what would become the "Purple rain" album. Prince walked up to Wendy and goes "Say about those Jazz chords you were playing..." at which she started to play the chord sequence that would become the "Purple rain" song, she's playing Prince is musing, getting into the zone, telling her "Keep going" But after twenty minutes Wendy's getting tired and tells Prince so, Prince tells her she can go rest up and that "He got it"
The next day at rehearsal, Prince shows up with almost the complete song and the band starts to go through it, when the door of the rehearsal space opens and a homeless lady walks in, who starts weeping at the sound of the song, after the song ends, she left and was never seen again, Prince said it was then that he knew he had his game changing song.
So I cried when he hit that high note - he is so incredibly moving. Wish he was still with us 😢💜💜
This was the moment he went from superstar to mega superstar. We were all moved to tears when this aired. I was 15. I was able to attend the Purple Rain Tour on April Fools Day 1985. It was magic. I saw him 16 times after that concert. The last being February 28, 2016. He’s a hero to me. Your reaction was just like ours was back in the day. Good job.
I was 16 wgehn this aired. This aired on a Sunday. I went to a sold out show on a Friday in Memphis. He had another sold out show Saturday, also in Memphis.
At the end of the Saturday show, he said he would be back Monday for an impromptu performance after this awards show. Tickets went on sale Sunday morning. SOLD out in an hour (in person sales - no ticket master in 1985). MONDAY... he was back.
I miss him.
The Purple Rain tour was absolutely stunning...I saw him in Cincinnati in 1985. :) Miss him every day.
Massive talent, gone way too soon R.I.P.
Agree
Prince was the REAL DEAL ...... your reaction when he went off vocally at 3:15 mark was priceless
Prince was and is amazing 😀 ❤️
Prince what can I say . Nothing but the best. NORTH Minneapolis rules . This is where Prince grew up &. I did . I cherished his time here . May God bless thee & keep thee Amen , brother.......
.
Arguably one of the best song's ever.
The facial expression, classic! Prince had the best live performances.
Omg he is so incredible.....wow goosbombs all over, and tears R.I.P Prince ♥️ thanks for wonderful react!!
Thank you.:)
Simply Prince ... my old man's favorite song.
until the next video.
Prince was just 🔥🔥🔥❗️
I've never seen this performance before...Amazing! RIP Great Purple One!
I didn't know at the time Purple Rain first came out the this song and artist would go down as an all time great. Such a genius. What passion and emotion.
Best live performer ever.
Prince, he was so special, so different and so so good.
Very unique in his performance, with so much passion in every line of his song's.
The were an experience for every sense. Nice to see reacting to him and such a wonderful way.💓❤️👍
Thank you😊🙏🏼 You too👍🏽
Prince was a truly complete artist: Singer, musician, composer and producer of his own music.
Great artist, great performance and another great reaction from you, Becks 😉 👏
Thank you😊🙏🏼
@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusic You're truly welcome 😊
That man was so massively talented and it's a shame that hes no longer with us.
Sooo silky and smooth it’s effortless for him
there’ll never b another like him, never..! ❤️ peace& be wild
Please check out “the directors cut 2021 version of “while my guitar gently weeps”, and for the record, Prince is the greatest all around musician in my 52 years alive. “America “ live video version 1985 is the best example that I can give you 😉😃
Awesome 😎 i
I remember seeing the Purple Rain movie for the first time and being shocked at what a great guitarist Prince was. I was instantly a huge fan. He could really shred! 🎸
A musical genius!
I saw this on live TV when I was in high school. More familiar with the material on his previous album, "1999," this performance blew my mind. For the next 20 years I shook my head wondering why he never did one--just one--guitar album. He was clearly the best guitarist of his generation.
8 minutes and 45 seconds of near perfection this song is as perfect as it comes!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
’” When doves cry ” is my favorite from Prince
Love it
The passion and the power and talent. Gone wayy to soon. RIP 😔
Prince performed most of his songs live with different arrangements through out the years. There is a version of Purple rain (Lovesexy live tour) where he uses a hendrix/Prince high pitched guitar sound. Another version of Purple Rain live starts with the whooing and then goes into the song.
Prince worked harder than anyone and really didn’t compromise his vision, he could play many instruments very well and produce other artists and write songs for them in different styles. Amazing. You picked a really good one today. Here is some more Prince. czcams.com/video/5yaUwT72i38/video.html
Thank you so much for you suggestions😊 Appreciate it😊
I heard whatever town he was in after the concert he would go find a place and play the rest of the night
@@MAGIKMARTIAN9526he played at a club in Boston after a big arena show forty miles away. He went on at 1: Am, I don’t know when it let out.
Kicking over the Mic stand=my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE PART!!!!😆🤘
Prince…The Purple Beautiful One. There will NEVER be another that can come close to this musical genius!
More Prince is a MUST!
Great reaction Rebekah hope you start feeling better soon
Thank you😊🙏🏼
This song was always the last to be played before the disco closed in the happy 80s. And it was perfect for a quiet dance with a beautiful girl who later that night, came home to my place and saw my stamp collection😁
Did you let them lick your stamps?
There is no studio version of Purple Rain. The track was recorded live at the songs first ever live performance using Sony's mobile 'Black Truck' recording unit. Apart from 3 or 4 overdubs and track length edit, every version including the movie soundtrack was taken from that single live performance. 4 other tracks from that show were also recorded live for the Purple Rain album. Its a testament to him and The Revolution, that neither you nor many millions of listeners ever noticed.
He was that good.....unique....
I am very emotional watching this and remembering…this was the point when Prince was Finally recognized as a real musician and a force to be reckoned with!
Prince, PERIOD
A great performance; and In his falsetto he sings ( i never wanted to be your weekend lover) i loved it.
I got to prince in 1988 it was the best concert I have been to. To date
Can you imagine being the act that had to follow that? 😂 I hope he was the last artist of the night. Man was so special.
I saw him live in San Franciso during the Purple Reign Tour. Absolutely nothing like it, bar none.
He did such an amazing job blending songs w/his rock and roll guitar solo's w/his pop/R&B songs. Man is a legend
The Maestro, The Artist, one maybe or the greatest Musicians of all modern Time ..Prince Rogers Nelson
For sheer entertainment and sheer talent only Queen could rival Prince at this time, this man was incredible, with a great band around him, but find or name who could produce that live, he did it time and time again, throughout his career. A making instrumentalist he some of the best guitarists ever imo, but his on stage presence and ability is incredible. The Revolution was an awesome era of Prince as well imo.
Love how tight the Revolution was. These guys were the real deal. Prince was awesome. RIP
I saw this when it came on TV back then. It made me a fan.
I loved it when he and Michael began battling for musical supremacy in the 80s. Very interesting being that Prince was the 'only' viable opponent then that could give MJ a run for his money. Rest in POWER, brothers.🌹
I never saw Prince lip sync MJ did
What a ridiculous comment ..please stop with the mj bullshit . How can a musician "compete " with a none musician?
Please stop comparing MJ and Prince..the difference btwn the two is astronomical..MJ was popular and a house hold name..he cld sing and dance that's it...Prince on the other hand cld play 27 instruments self taught, wrote, produced, and did everything that created his sound, all self taught..cld play guitar as well as hendrix and wrote multiple number one hits for other ppl...his personal persona was a man gifted with a brilliant intellect and a powerful spirit...there is just no comparison at all btwn the two...actually to be honest comparing him to MJ is an insult
💯💯💯💯💯💯💯 For the actual love of God kill this comparison. It does Prince wrong on every level. Time to let MJ go folks. The moonwalk can only take you so far.
to me purple rain is mascara running from womans tears ,thus the line i only want to see you laughing in the purple rain,, so she's laughing so hard tears are running out of her eyes but never from sorrow
I hate to be that grown up who goes into the whole "in my day...". But I have to go there right now. I am 45 in September, and I am blessed to have been raised when if you couldn't sing live, didn't have what was called that "It Factor", you were screwed. So now it's a surprise when a singer can actually sing live, perform choreography, and everything else. But now it seems the popular people who make millions, by the way, show their butt and their six pack abs. become multi-millionaires but can't sing live, to save their lives. Please play his track called diamonds and pearls. Because everybody else is going to tell you to see him play guitar for with Tom Petty. Prince has a huge music catalog actually his slower r&b songs are in my opinion some of his best music. His song called "Scandalous" is my favorite.
By the way I do like some music of today, but most of them are Independent artists.
Again I love Prince.
I am so happy that young ppl have this platform where they can experience true talent and God's gift to music...today's music is just so awful...talent no longer exist in the music industry...
What a fun video!! I wasn’t sure who 2 watch, Prince or you!
U have witnessed the greatest performer that ever lived!!! 💜💜💜
just listen to that crowd, it’s electric. Prince was an American icon and i wish he was still alive.
We all need something purple in our lives to make us feel better.
Was fortunate enough to see him on his Purple Rain tour. Opening act Shelia E. I know that ages me but it’s an experience I will never forget.
I'm glad this performance by Prince made you smile, he was a very special entertainer!
The one and only!
Rest in peace Prince. Thank you for entertaining us for so many years.
Thank you.:)
Thanks , Loved your Reaction , my Spine Tingles Always at This Performance kicking over the stand is good too!
He was 27 then, had mastered over 15 different instruments.... he was a natural talent.... the only man who could rock in heels and eyeliner and those things we foolishly call "clothes''
My idol!!!… just WOW!!!
Prince got recognise even better priceless
The “studio” version IS live. That’s the crazy part. Think about how SOLID that vocal quality was. Stellar performance
Best artist ever for me 😍💯🖤🎩💔 greetings from Czech Republic 🇨🇿🙏
Special. Thanks for doing this.
I can't believe he's gone half the time. So terribly missed 💔💔
I saw him live 3x my mom took me! Cool mom💜💜💜

One of my favourite songs ever. What a fantastic performer. 😊

Thank you.:)
@@rebekaluizebudlevskamusic Please can you react to Faith No More as they are awesome
that studio version you mention, was actually also live from a show in 1983.
1. Chord Jills , 2. Chord Memorys , 3. Chord Tears , what an genius musican and what a lost . He was a multi Instrument Genius watch the Movie 'Purple Rain '
Yes, you need to see some more Prince. Watch his first performance on the Arsenio Hall show when he did a medley which included the song "Kiss".
Prince " Little Red Corvette " live at the Montruex Music Festival from 2009 👌😉😎😁 you'll appreciate & enjoy this live performance, Prince will not let you down & or disappoint you 👌😉😎😁😱🤣😂🤣😂
Great reaction to this Prince video!! I was fortunate to see Prince four times. The first two times were on back to back nights on the Purple Rain tour. I went to the show the first night, and worked the second night as I was responsible for preparing the final accounting settlement for the arena and the tour for those two shows. Again, great reaction!!!!
Thank you.:)
Great performance. And you are stunning by the way. Thanks for the reaction.
Nobody will ever do it like ⭐PRINCE⭐
Your reaction was absolutely 💯 👌 🔥 FIREEEEEEEE and Priceless!🥰 Loved, loved, loved your reaction to the Purple One!😢😭❣

I love that you didn't comment throughout the performance. Love it.
