TB was a terrible disease and caused much suffering and death. New drug resistant strains are emerging, which is not good news. But medicine, new drugs, antibiotics, antivirals, anthelmintics - it's amazing what science has accomplished in the last 100 years. Think of how many people were in this sanitarium! Fascinating video, guys! Yes, those ceramic basins had water swirling, which would wash your sputum away when you spat into those basins. State of the art at one time.
