I love camping for an hour for %10 then losing %8 because someone else landed with me in 5 seconds :)
Today when I was playing in plat 1, I claimed loot island but only gained 2% for a top 7. One thing that my friend told me is if you don't deal any damage, it makes it extremely hard to gain 1% even in gold 1 lobbies

Yeah your ranked points go up mainly by damage they made it much much harder to gain points now from placement so you need to be dealing damage and getting kills to maximize your points!! Thank you for the comment SoccerDude!!

Last season it was quite painful at times at elite and especially champion, having 2 or 3 pretty good decent games to gain around 10-15%, then 2 times die off spawn at the start and lose almost all of that, because a ton of people landing there even tho the places were not main POI's, this season they made it even harder to reach unreal so im not even going to bother with it, I don't enjoy grinding ranked mode like crazy.
This season is so much harder to rank up
champ last season stuck in diamond rn 😭 i have 1 good game and rank up for every like 10 games so its an endless cycle

The lesson i learned and the whole point of this video is... Just w key everyone you wont loose points unless you died of spawn (im in plat and if i get like 4 kills and im top 50 i wont loose point ima just gain)

Well this confirmed what I feared about champion. Last season, I got stuck in champion and couldn't get any progress. I would have a good game, then have 3 bad games and lose all my progress. There were times where making top 10 with a few kills gained me nothing.
You need to be top 5 to actually gain in champion
I was playing squads and we dropped 28 kills with 2nd place and only went up 16%😭😭😭(Im elite btw)

I would say this is helpful, but its not. You should'nt need a youtube video to explain it, epic needs to make it more clear what is and isn't going to give ranking. Somehow you can drop 7 kills in a lobby get to top 25, and lose 8%, seemingly, you can drop 1 kill and get first place, and it means nothing. With airbending in the game, and 50 thousand different mobility options, and a terrible stamina mechanic, this season has been an absolute sweatfest.

Nice video, have you heard anything about the number of the storm circle affecting points as well as top 10? In other words, both placement rewards and the value of kills go up as you get into those final moving circles.
I think he said that the less players there are the more points each kill gives you. But actually that makes sense 🤔

They aren’t cheap it’s just nobody plays from there. You will be lucky to get 3 games full.
There are millions that okay fortnite here. We play all the same games everyone else does. Siege has SA Servers. Free fire somehow does too. Apex is a lost cause when it comes to servers.

This season feels just like last season made it to unreal easily with 8-12 kill wins majority of the way through elite & champion. Usually gained a pretty good amount.

Hi this has made a lot of things more clear for me
But I am still confused about one thing I had a game when I was diamond 1 placed 30th with 5 kills
I died to an unreal player with the kills being 1 diamond 3, 2 elite, 1 champion and one unreal
I was given 0%
Was this a glitch or is my ranked broken if u would be able to reply be appreciated
my main issue is people spamming the frenzy auto, every time it shoots it freezes my game for about a tenth of a second lol and theres nothing i can do about it

I got to elite in builds and diamond 2 in zero builds pretty fast this season but can’t get out of elite. It’s so much harder now. I’m getting top 10 in 90% of my games and gain 1% lol. 30min games for 1 percent then lose 5 percent the very next game haha.
Nice vid! How do you know when rank protected is activated? I heard it triggers at 8pm EST in the US. Is there a way of knowing if active?
Hover over the rank on the bottom right area of screen it will say rank protected match

Since the update I have been getting "rank protected" on my first match (before starting it.)
Before that didn't happen and don't actually care now since hitting unreal. Before when I needed to know it never came up! 🤣
im 50% through diamond 3, grinded some rank earlier and got off because i got killed by a champ player 4 games in a row 😭

How does daily rank protection work with or against consistency bonus? I often drop hot first match as I thought it was free
Thank you for the comment Charlie! Yes your first game has a protection on I don't think it affects the consistency bonus as far as Im aware as soon as the game ends if your going to lose points it just cancels the game in that regards but im not 100% sure on that!!

Have they recently changed it in the last few days? I’m in Champion and it seems every time I get a win now it gives 10% each time regardless of the kills

Ummm… I mean overall I would probably say yes because they seem to give you a lot more points for kills!! Last season in like diamond 15 kill win is like 60% points this season it’s over 100% so I would say yes!! Thank you for the comment Orange!!

i might be wrong but i think you get one every day if you do bad in your first ranked match that day. it just prevents you from losing points during a bad first game where you’re not warmed up. it’s just a nice little bonus

they just need to have it where u see how much u lose or gain in-game match like with adding or having it say -5% or +5% next to the rank if they ever add this
That would be such a good addition I’m assuming they won’t because then it would leak exactly what gives you points so you would play for a certain placement or play for kills or whatever gives you the most which is not what they want
In elite rank yesterday i placed 86th with 0 kills and stayed the same oercent but a few games later i died 46th with 1 kill and lost 2%
Or I could just drop grim gate 50/50 top chest, get the best drop, roll my scroll and get everything, clean the POI and then get the bot and a 20 kill win
If that goes wrong I could do the same thing but on underworld wich is easier.

What sucks ab fort is they have the frenzy in the lootpool. Death off spawn is guaranteed if you don't find one and someone else who is even half decent does. That shotgun is such a skill crutch

I think am not gonna make it to Unreal or even Champion now. Its just impossible for a player like me. They still haven't added a south african server after all this time so am extremely laggy compare to others, you guys don't know how many games I died because of this delay when I could had won the fights. On top of it I either try to get some kills and just die or jusr plah peacefully and just don't win any points

ummm.. supposedly yes but also no If you tapped a bunch of people up off spawn you will get the points as long as they die within a certain time frame Im assuming if you hit someone off spawn then they die in end game you would not get the points because that would be super broken and they didn't die within the time frame how long that is Im not 100% sure! I think you missed one thing. From my experience if you die off spawn on your first game of the day or in a few hours, you wont go down any points, it’s like a barrier so you don’t get punished for not being warmed up.

Rank of the player who killed you should not be considered unless they are a higher rank. Loads of people Smurf to carry their friends into higher ranks without playing in higher ranked lobbies.

I feel like siphon should never have been removed, it just rewards aggression in late game and discourages 3rd partying.
Bro think we can get 15% per kill in champ for killing an unreal player and we won’t get 20% per kill for end game bro, we get like 2% in champ for killing an unreal player and 4% for an end game kill in plat

Sorry I made that part a bit confusing the multiplier is added on so let's say you was going 10% points but you have a 0.5% multiplier added on you will gain 15% points! It works like in the Bonkersland. You play ranked squad to fill with strangers or should I say Bots with inferior rank, then the fellow leaves like a snowflake and everyone else follows that behaviour in the end even killing 7 people myself by myself I got negative 15? WTF ?! There is definitely some people taking poo in that epic games for sure. Such a great game with such idiotic script running alongside. Give us the right matchmaking teams then we can compete otherwise just the superman can.
