    You could easily get another video from this in how you pack your gear. People have different approaches so would be interesting to see.

    I wouldn't mind seeing Teresa more, she has a nice upbeat personality! My gear is very old compared to the new shiny BD screws and cams...almost collector items:)

    Don't put Petzl crampons, in fully-auto (FIL toe bail), on La Sportiva Nepal Evo or Cube, unless you want to meet your maker.

  • @miferna
    @miferna Před rokem +3

    Nomics + aluminium crampons (ski touring) don't really make sense in my book. At the very least, take the Irvis Hybrid, that have a steel front part. Cosmics arette has lots of rock and some front pointing (single front point) at the rock crux... Aluminum crampons are going to get thrashed... Other than that, good selection of gear!

    Hi, one question, can i use pure magnesium carbonate bought from the drugstore in place of propper climbing chalk?
    I cant buy online due to my country's restrictions and due to climbing not being big here i cant find it anywhere... i have been living off my gym's free liquid chalk, but i'm going for outdoor sports climbing for the first time in a few weeks (the instructors buy their chalk outside the country when they travel) and i'd like to have my own chalk.
    Thanks!

    The barrier for entry for alpine climbing seems so high. Is all of that kit entirely necessary? It seems so.

    • @fab1000
      @fab1000 Před 4 lety

      If you re a rock climber and a skier you already own some equipement, to give it a try rent or borrow the rest

    • @nicholo85
      @nicholo85 Před 4 lety +1

      There definitely is a barrier, but its not as drastic as you think. Most people start hiking, rock climbing, then once you start looking for more challenges or technical pursuits, you start accumulating gear. Many guiding companies will also provide the gear as part of their package, or you can also rent items for relatively low cost.

  • @Sierranite
    @Sierranite Před 4 lety +3

    Guys, the Cosmiques is an easy route! By pushing all that gear you are likely to cause beginners to be burdened by huge amounts of gear. Totally unnecessary.
    Stop trying to sell unnecessary gear to people who don’t know better

    • @tillbretti9940

    Why don't you get somebody little bit more experienced for second host? So he can talk about the insides and the usefulness of the gear, just like in ep.1326 about the Cassian Torre haul bag.
