Part of planning and preparing for a high alpine tour is selecting the right glacier equipment and high alpine touring apparel. On mixed terrain with snow, ice and rock, your boots must be crampon-compatible, your glacier sunglasses, and your high alpine touring backpack packed with a harness, rope, slings, carabiners and accessory cords. Perfect! But not so much changed since my first course...in 1983 with the œav... Some better ice screws and things used instead of a prusik.... And the antbott under crampons...
