Yay! Woody is fantastic for describing what you're going to do, especially for those of us viewers with NO gymnastics experience. This challenge is so exciting... Thank you for bringing us along. It's really inspiring. I'm 44 years old and trying to heal myself from years of depression/anxiety (don't worry I'm also on meds and I have a therapist) but I do think that at a certain point you have to WANT to make a change and be ABLE to put in the work, and anyway your challenge is inspiring me to start moving my body again and play like I did when I was a child.
I started gymnastics last year, at age 32. I loooved it. It makes me feel better seeing Ash fail, since that was mostly what I did.

It’s not being a fool- it’s trying and if failing being able to laugh at your self. My kids like watching you -one is in gymnastics and is seeing it’s ok not to get something on the first try. 😊
I LOVE your passion for gymnastics!! As someone who only knows the sport through Olympics TV, Nile's videos and you, watching your videos brings me such entertainment and most of all education! I love seeing the rulebook and how intricate the moves are, how technical gymnasts must be, all while not dying to misadventure.
You always do things for YOU, and this passion is infectious. I swam in HS and college and thinking about doing half the stuff you do but underwater would make scared!! Let alone facing full on gravity on land!
It's the journey not the destination and seeing that you're also a 30-something still doing what brings you joy, brings me joy!

My 8 year old daughter and I watch you before her bed time every night. She loves the 3 musketeers and I love that she gets to watch grown ups loving a sport and persevering (even if the odd squeal comes out on occasion!) well done Ash!! From Nicole (42) & Lilly-Anne (8.5) x

Hello from Gibraltar. My first gym coach competed at an amatuer level until the age of 39 ,floor and vault. trust me when i say 'you still got some beans in you!!' after seeing your vids i am wishing the gym facilities were still available here to get back into it at 39 myself. In my ignorance, before, I never associated your build and body type with gymnastics.. I mean this in no way disrespectfully, you have an awesome, strong build, but when I thought of gymnasts I always thought "lean". How dumb was I?! You're incredible. And so funny :)) Keep up the good work.

6:01 Thank you for introducing Woody🤠 as it really does help to see what the skill is in 3D. I still think Ash Jr would have been perfect as he could have been called AJ for short. I would love to see a Jarvis come back especially with him teaming up with Woody. The mischief they could get up to 😂

The whole idea of getting old and not being able to perform as well as when you are younger, is a myth that is soo hard for people to get unconditioned from their psyche.
Especially if they are so conditioned to getting their sense of reality from the general collective.
