Winning a championship isn't his target for next year, he just wanted to enjoy racing again, that's why he only had 1 year contract with Gresini, if he managed to get a better result or even pull out a miracle to become world champion every teams on the grid would probably wanted to sign him for 2025. But if the result still the same, half of the season, I can see him would be retiring.

Biggest mistake in his career was not to switch to Ducati after 2019.
Doviziozo won lot of races in 2018 and 2019 and it was obvious that Ducati was the best bike.

Feels surreal to see him in those colors. We can finally restart the Marc era. I still haven't recovered mentally from that crash, something just feels off with MotoGP because of the way the others started to win. Hockenheim 2018, Jerez 2020 and Abu Dhabi 2021. Really should stop putting my heart into sports.
I still remembered Abu Dhabi 2021 a lot especially VERSTAPPEN VS HAMILTON that still fresh almost 3 years later.
I wonder what his thought process must be going onto a new bike. Yes the Duc is a championship winning bike, but still. How does someone so skilled explore the limits of what the machine is capable of. I wish there was some way the fans would get to know the intricacies. It's so cool.

I won't lie, I had hoped to never see this moment because I fundamentally disagree with what is happening with Ducati but also because I know the Ducati is not a bike that fits Marc's natural riding style. But it couldn't be avoided and I just hope Marc finds the satisfaction in riding that being competitive brings him so that he feels motivated to continue.
