  • "LG TV not Connecting to WiFi network" -- a major phrase that around 95% of LG TV users throw in many forums and even search on Google.
A simple power cycle usually solves this issue, but sometimes you need to troubleshoot some hardware-related issues.
In this video, I tried to explain why sometimes your LG TV is saying the WiFi password is incorrect, the WiFi is turned off, or it's not connecting to WiFi.
I discussed some major reasons and showed how to troubleshoot this issue.

These fixes didn't work for me. I know the wifi is working near the LG TV because other devices around the TV get a strong signal, but the TV doesn't pick up any wifi. The LAN Ethernet connection on the TV works, but connecting the TV to internet by an Ethernet cable is not really practical since the router is in another room.
I need a way to connect to wifi through the LAN port.

either replace the TV's wifi module or replace the router near your TV. That's what you can do now....

I really don't know why LG does not tell people how to fix this. They know what is going on. Just search on YT wifi not connecting LG TV. Many videos explaining what is going on. Basically its the WIFI ribbon cable all twisted and bent up going into the wifi module. Fix is to remove all screws in back (unplug first) Open up back and the middle module on bottom is the wifi. You will see how they taped, bent, twisted cable before connecting to the module. Undue the tape if there is any and carefully flatten out the ribbon making it smooth taking out the crimps and twists in cable. Then put back on back cover connect. I just fixed TWO TV's the same way. One manufactured in 2017 the other in 2018. Both have always had network issues. Now both work flawlessly. Like I said there are many YT videos showing how to fix this. The fix is really easy and takes about 15=30 minutes. All you need is a magnetic Phillips screw driver because some of the screws are recessed further down. There are thousands of owners that have claimed this is the final answer. And it clearly is. It saddens me LG giving all the lame work arounds that will NOT WORK. In short, this is a design defect. A process during assembly that knackers the WIFI connection. For whatever reason LG does not want to take ownership for that. Because to fix it means you literally have to open up the back. It's probably something they are not allowed to advise. So they just send owners on a wild goose chase. All these fixes won't straighten out a bent/twisted cable. You better believe it lol. You don't need to replace the wifi module just smooth out the cable assembly.
