how to change inputs on outdated LG hotel TV with no input buttons on the TV/remote (TV gets owned)

  • here I am at the end of 2023, impossibly attempting to enjoy my free time in my room while this hotel television only has cable, and I come to find that the remote AND the TV (LG 42LT670H) don’t have input buttons… which means I can’t play my Switch. just thought i’d drop some knowledge on the earth in hopes that this video could possibly help somebody else tryna get down on some games but encountered the IRL boss that is this television and remote
    I was messing around and found out that the only useful button on the remote is the “enter” button, which actually opens the TV’s settings menu. after opening it, I then had to use the side buttons on the TV itself to actually select the HDMI input
    -channel up and down to navigate
    -volume up to enter
    every other button on the remote will close the menu, so you can only select/enter using the TV buttons
    anyway, this ancient artifact of a TV just got smoked, and now I get to play some breath of the wild (yeah yeah, not tears of the kingdom gtfrick over it nerds)

    Ive recently found a solution, even if it might be a little iffy, so your hotel usually has a gym that has a tv, that remote shouldnt be limited so just borrow it and bring it back

      @@Mr.corkie the “arrows”, are you referring to the channel up or down buttons on the side of the physical TV? or are you referring to the up or down arrows on the remote itself?
      if neither of those are allowing you to navigate through the TV settings menu, then the scumbag hotel probably programmed it to be that way unfortunately

    • @sommytweet
      @sommytweet  Před 8 měsíci +1

      im not 100% certain, but underneath the input list looks like it could be a "picture settings" tab, which i would assume brightness settings would be. you'd probably need to navigate to/control it the same way with the TV's side buttons
