Rare Dish On Demand Promo & Bumper of Barney’s Great Adventure D-VHS Quality (Lost Media)

Here’s a rare D-VHS recording of Barney’s Great Adventure on Dish On Demand that contains a different version of the trailer, a bumper and a promo recorded from December 1998. This was probably the first time Barney’s Great Adventure aired on television although this was more from a subscription service than cable television. Also the movie really didn’t air on tv that much in the United States likely because of the negative reception by critics and audiences.
Also yes this is not a standard VHS recording it’s a D-VHS recording, basically the format was similar to DVD but on tape instead, similar to a DVR but unlike VHS and DVD, it could handle at a higher resolution as 1080i and 720p. Unfortunately the format didn’t really took off because DVDs were already successful especially it was released in December 1997 and DVDs came out two years prior so not a lot of people had that technology which is a shame because we could have had more recordings from the 1990s and 2000s in higher quality much as how VHS recordings from those decades are available online, if only if it was successful. This recording was uploaded by CZcamsr ENunn2 who has a handful of upload of D-VHS recordings on CZcams and Archive.org so if you want to see more of those recordings go check his accounts out if you’re interested.
