I just deleted both my "congratulations" comments. I don't think it's a good idea for Jaclyn to marry a guy who can't buy a ring out right. She deserves someone on her level. She honestly should marry an older rich guy. A mature wealthy man who has it all. She knows powerful people as a business woman/entrepreneur. She can easily attract powerful men like that. She's young, beautiful, smart and rich.
I wonder what made her want to marry him. She don't need to rush into this. It's not too late! Forgive me, Jaclyn if this comes off offensive. I don't want you to get hurt again. Accomplished women like yourself need to be careful who they marry so they don't lose all they've worked hard for. You deserve the BEST, Jaclyn. The fact that he is motivated to work as hard and as long as it takes to give her a ring that is her dream is a clear indication of his love and dedication to her and their relationship. He could have given her something smaller and simpler instead and you’d criticize that too. While I think it’s important to discuss finances as a couple before marriage and make sure that your current situation & goals align I think determining a marriage based on only on what the other person can financially give you is a HUGE red flag. When I met my husband he was in a tough financial space and I was doing well, but I knew he was my person from day one. Now he is our breadwinner by a large margin and continues to push and work harder every day. Let people be happy and keep the bitter, cold, & greedy nonsense you believe to yourself.

Also, while I’m absolutely not famous it’s awfully bold of you to assume you know my financial situation considering you know absolutely nothing about me. One thing we can certainly agree on however is that she deserves the best. If he makes her happy, loves & respects her and continues to work his butt off right along with her to make their dreams and goals a priority I think that will start them off the right foot in marriage. This was so beautiful I was bawling the whole time. I recently got married in September and my biggest regret was not making it a bigger deal because it was my second marriage. When you said "It feels like my second chance" it struck such a nerve and had me in tears. I was always afraid I would be judged and there were people in my life who kind of made me feel like it wasn't AS big of a deal because I had been married before. I'm wishing you and Jordan all the happiness and joy in the entire world. Never give up on each other.

We had a private wedding with immediate family only & very close friends. One of my uncles was so upset he wasn’t invited but I didn’t care, it was OUR day and I ignored the haters. I look back on my wedding with such adoration! It was just what I wanted. 10 years married this year ❤️❤️❤️
Same! We actually only had around 35 guests total. It was the most perfect, loving, intimate day and we saved a ton of money..which we used to buy our first home with instead! Absolutely no regrets..I am 100% sure I would have regretted doing a huge wedding to make everyone happy.

i’ve catered for weddings over covid and in normal times and every small wedding i’ve ever done has always had the nicest atmosphere because it was only people who they truly wanted to be there. love this outlook and so happy to see it in more weddings nowadays. those who get bitter over not being invited aren’t good enough friends anyways if they don’t respect your decision.
