  • This is a VERY special & personal video. Along my pregnancy journey I have listened to multiple variations of pregnancy & labor/ child-birthing affirmations, although at a deeper level I did not feel that I could connect and/or resonate with everything that was being articulated, especially since I knew I wasn’t going the “modern/traditional” way of childbirth. I took the time to create a list of affirmations throughout my pregnancy that I resonated with & recorded my own affirmations. It’s not perfect nor is the quality one of the best that’s out there but overall I’m proud of the results and the beginning of a new venture. I’ll admit it was a bit strange getting into the groove of my “trance voice” but it has been quite accomplishing. Nonetheless, I hope it serves you well & that you enjoy the content! Much love always, Indi 🌹✨
P.S. the photos are from my maternity shoot that I took myself. I will be posting a video of that as well. I wanted it to be very personal & especially intended for me so I’m sharing a very intimate part of my journey with all of you.

    FAQ:
    Q) What is a birth attendant or birth keeper? How is that different from a doula?
    A) A birth attendant is a witness and supportive person who holds space for the spiritual, emotional, physical, mental, & psychological wellbeing of pregnant women during childbirth. How this is done varies depending on the training, skills, education, or specialties of each birth worker (the field and occupation of birth attendants, doulas, midwives, etc.)
Birth attendants understand that birth is sacred and trust in your ability to birth uninterrupted and simply share resources for you to be better equipped for the process through things such as classes, demonstrations/tutorials, physical products, etc. Birth keepers and attendants are not limited to the restrictions & regulations of doula organizations (which coincide to governmental policy and protocol) & typically have a more spiritual & traditional/ancestral approach toward preconception, prenatal, pregnancy, and postpartum care. Therefore, they are free to adapt, claim, and flow because there is no solid definition.
A doula does similar work but they are regulated by an institution and are often found supporting those in spaces where governmental policy is enforced such as in hospitals or birth centers. Sometimes these words are used interchangeably by the person so it's important to clarify what the birth worker is offering and how they can support you.
