    TYVM! Used your guide to get to the stalks on an LHD car--same exact procdure :) Very well explained but one thing I'd mention for others that you seem to have edited out... Getting the bottom cowl off of the column. You can't take it off right away as the lever that unlocks the tilt/telescoping won't allow it. Tried for a while seeing if you could twist/tilt/rotate the cover to get around the lever but no dice. However you just need to remove the two screws holding the plastic handle to the lever and remove the handle. Thereafter the bottom cover can slide right off the remaining metal lever, and then it's out of your way as shown at the @4:08 mark.

    Top job. I got to the indicator/cruise control stalk and freed the outside tab, but didn't want to pull too hard and scrap something. Looks like it's all in the wiggle! Giving it a go now. Ta very much!

    Thanks to your video I have done it 2 weeks ago. FI the small wire at 4:33 could be replaced with an allen key n°2.

    Thanks are due. Used your video to replace my blinker stalk. You saved me a couple of hundred dollars.
    After I finished I got a "steering wheel" and "traction control" amber warnings. They went away once I started driving. It gave me a fright. So, everybody, don't panic if this happens. Just drive it forward a bit and the warnings will go away.

    Thank you for a great video I was able to follow it to change the stalk trying to find my non working wiper problem.
    So far I have changed fuse. Changed wiper motor and wiper stalk. Still no wipers any more ideas??
    There are no faults displaying on dash. Rear works fine front jets work but arms won't function.

      I would check that there is power at the wiper motor connector/plug, and work back from there. Also check that the bonnet lock sensor is working correctly, it requires to be in the closed position before the front wipers will work.

    I have just bought an 8p where the main beam won’t work. It won’t flash and when I put the main beam on with the head lights it will come on but won’t turn off. Thinking of changing the indicator stalk but wondering if someone has been in there before and fit the wrong one? Maybe that why it’s not working? The top cowling doesn’t sit right so I know someone’s been in there before. how do I know what stalk I need please?

    How do I start to remove the first 2 clips if the steering wheel is locked in place?

    • @SelectVehicleSpares
      @SelectVehicleSpares  Před rokem

      You could try removing the steering column shroud (around 3:02 onwards), to see if this gives better access to the rear of the steering wheel.
