I love that the first comments I see mention Jake Peralta. I'm not the only one wanting to watch this only bc of him
@Ole Van Brooklyn of course it's a classic, and I enjoyed it before becoming such a big Brooklyn Nine Nine fan. But now that I am one, my millennial blood takes over and forces me to reference it everywhere. Ole Van Brooklyn, you are an amazing detective/genius.
I was expecting this
When you look in the comments for b 99 things and you're like, oh maybe I'll find one, and that's the only thing there is 😂

Facts. Brooklyn 99 rocks!!!!🚨📺🤣📺🚨
"Lady, do i sound like I'm orderin' a pizza?!!"
Thanks to this scene many 911 operators are now trained to recognize that if someone calls them and actually orders a pizza they are to understand that the caller is under duress and does not want to let the perpetrators know that the cops are being called.
AnnoyingMoose imagine getting robbed and asking the robber if you can order a pizza lmao
But how does said pizza rate on mouthfeel?
I’m here cause just like you I heard Bruce retired today cause of a disease affecting his speech ability. Thank you Bruce for all the classics including this masterpiece!!!
Come out to the coast, we’ll get together, have a few laughs… 😁

Best Christmas movie ever!
RIP Alan Rickman!
It took 19 years for some random person to call this a Christmas movie and start the debate. That alone should tell you it's not. Hell, it wasn't even released during the holiday season. Anywhere.
Mary Ellen Trainor and Paul Gleason
Agree this is the best. This always annoys the older generation.
Home Alone is a close second.
Elf is third best.
@@rustbukkitj.6388 it’s a Christmas movie. It only became a debate when it came out that some believed it wasn’t.
@@rustbukkitj.6388 Neither was It's a Wonderful Life. That was released after New Year's Day yet people call it a Christmas movie and one of the best. How is Die Hard not a Christmas movie? The whole plot and the reason everyone is there is because of a Christmas party on Christmas Eve with multiple Christmas references. So just because it doesn't have actual snow or follow the Hallmark cliches, it's not a Christmas movie?
I’m glad B99 is introducing everyone to this masterpiece.

Last Christmas is a Christmas song, even though it has no correlation with the holiday other than the day it was set.

Rest in Peace Don LaFontaine. His voiceover narration of trailers is legendary. He had the perfect voice, especially this one!
That's not Don LaFontaine.
@@josephmonasky9495 It was Hal Douglas (1924-2014) One more thing, Hal did lead his voice for the trailer of Die Hard 2: Die Harder in 1990 & Die Hard With a Vengeance in 1995.

Who is Jake
As they say, "Yippee ki yay" Such an iconic film! Every aspect of it was amazing, the storyline, the characters, the soundtrack, and the action were all great and literally legendary! Decided to watch it on Christmas day again, and what a film. Hard to find anything similar these days, what a time. Such an amazing cast as well, especially with Willis in his prime. So sad to see him in the condition he is now, and hearing about the passing of Gilyard, few months back. But we can all agree on this movie and their talent will always have an everlasting legacy. If you're looking for a perfect action-packed, film; This is it! Unforgettable.

One of the greatest action as well as Christmas movies of all time. An iconic, legendary, standout, and amazing film. A film filled with so many iconic sayings like "Yippee ki yay", references about other films, actors, and much more to even mention as well as say about this film. Like its not one of those Christmas movies about joy or happiness but a Christmas film, that is filled with action which is what makes it so unique. Its a film about emotion, being a hero, fighting, against all odds and etc. Like every single part of it was amazing, the story, the characters, the music, the action throughout the film; where no matter what, you were always on the edge of your seat as if you were the character, constantly experiencing his emotion, what was occurring, his humor, the action, it was like a roller coaster of emotions that is honestly better explained if you felt it as well as watched it since you were constantly cheering him on as well as worrying what was going to happen next, and him coming out as a hero, his legacy, alongside saving the day. Like every year, I always watch a Christmas movie with my twin brother, since he always recommends new Christmas films to watch together on Christmas and when he mentioned this, which is a film we've never watched before only until now, it really goes to show how amazing it was & probably his best pick & by far one if not, the greatest action film of all time as well as Christmas film of all time due to its uniqueness. Like I honestly can't believe how this film came out in 1988, and how advanced it was for its time, especially with how great it must've been in that era. It's honestly hard to find anything unique to this type of film like what a time it must've been in that era to be alive. Such an excellent cast, especially Willis who honestly never fails when it comes to these types of films especially when it was in his prime. Sad to see the condition he is in now, wishing him all the best as well as hearing about Gilyard passing away a couple of months back which honestly makes you look back to the film and see how amazing he was. Same with Willis when he was in his prime. Like the amount of people that still watch this film and mention about it, really goes to show how much of a legacy it has, and how its by far the greatest action movie of all time. Truly unforgettable, especially every scene which was just so iconic, amazing and so much to say about this film. Like its a neverending page of words. Like if you're picking out a perfect action film to watch that will always make you on the edge of your seat filled with emotion and always focused this is your film to watch. 5 stars.
Nah. It was lame.
Tl;dr
Showed this to my brother for the first time and was the first time I had seen it in years; still holds up as the best action movie and Christmas movie of all-time. My brother loved it too.

@@currenwiggin8982 The fact that the whole plot of the movie and why everyone is in there in the first place is because of a Christmas party on Christmas Eve with multiple Christmas references throughout. Only reason you don't like it as a Christmas movie is because of the violent content with consistent action which is way better than the same overly used plot in every Hallmark movie.
