On 6 February 1952, the UK lost a good man and a great King. But on that same day, it gained an equally great lady who has carried on in the finest traditions of the monarchy, becoming the living embodiment of service and dedication to duty. Seventy magnificent years later, she continues to do so. I have no doubt her father would be beyond proud of her. God save the Queen! Long may she reign!
In a way I feel bad for Charles and William because George vi had to prove to the world the crown could still function in the midst of a very serious religious matter. But also he had to prove to himself he could do the job that his brother was supposed to do. It brought out such real courage strength, and this is what true leaders should be made out of. He was a king in battle in World War I (NOT AS KING OF COURSE) Charles and William have nothing to prove. They are both incredibly wealthy. That's the final part the monarchy wasn't nearly as wealthy as it is today because George vi literally had to borrow money to buy out his brother. Parliament did not want Edward on the Civil list.
This is a magnificent compilation of an incredible life. Long live Queen Elizabeth 💓 and when the inevitable comes, the code will be London Bridge is Down.
'The Crown' should reflect reality. The Queen & Prince Philip's lives of service should remind everyone of the huge, tangible power for peace and stability the British monarchy is for everyone in Britain, the commonwealth and for the world. In the 19th & 20th centuries the U.S.A, France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Greece suffered in various ways civil wars, political storms, and dictatorships. This shows what can go wrong in the absence of a head of state which is above politics, which opposes illegal dictatorship and helps keep the peace. If there are many reasons England, Wales, Scotland, Canada and Australia, have had no civil war since Culloden in 1746, having a constitutional monarchy is an important one. Of course the Queen & Prince Philip had their failings as parents, and Prince Philip could be tactless. Whatever mistakes the royal family have made, let us be grateful for the service they give, and for the difference the monarchy makes for the better, in everybody's lives.
To be fair, there was a Rebellion in Upper Canada and Lower Canada in 1837. Something like 2 people died in Upper Canada. It led to political reform and eventually everyone was pardoned. But your point is well made. Canada's separation from the UK happened over a century, and was marked by negotiation and peace, based in part I believe on faith in the rule of law under a constitutional Monarchy.
As the descendent of a Scots MP, Macleod of Cadboll, who signed The Act of Union 1707, and his son, who fought for Charlie at Culloden in 1745, I echo what you say. My family served The Crown faithfully for over 200 years, and now everyone is being trashed by the inner city globalist agenda that is wrecking the country, which is now overcrowded, violent, dirty, with people scared to say boo to a goose for fear of being cancelled!
Thankyou for explaining this to me @@wendysnelgrove5870. I think the great thing is, the rebellions of 1837 ended with continuing government under the Crown, rather than civil war.
I wonder what was Thailand's reaction when King George VI died but seeing the Crown I was really excited but at the same time sad to see what was Thailand's reaction to the King's death.
Rest in peace Queen Elizabeth II😔

On 8 September 2022, that great daughter passed away 💔😔

No such thing as a good king
The Queen Mother’s scream was heartbreaking😢💔.
She started to be Queen so young as Queen Victoria. Still at 95 years old, she is a strong Queen ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
God Save the Queen.
God save the Queen
Victoria was 18
Victoria was 18 and Queen Elizabeth became queen at age 25
God save the King!
Elizabeth took that "Long Live Queen Elizabeth" very literally
I got shivers watching this👏👏

I really loved this. My only issue was the music overpowered the dialogue. It should have been blended into the background.
yes yes yes
It’s possible it was done that way deliberately, to avoid a takedown from copyright
From Hyde Park corner to London bridge is down... how the world changed.
Today more than ever..Long live Queen Elizabeth..Long live King Charles III

God, Elizabeth looks terrified... Poor girl...I hope she let her emotions and grief take over her as well.
Good work!
Love it
Nice edit!
Operation London bridge has fallen…
Very nice.
Still upsets me that no one told Princess Margaret, she had to discover her father’s death on her own.
Must always win
Actually it was the PALACE who called Churchill and said Hyde Park Corner.
