Cheers! Had a SysVol Inaccessible issue on 2 domain controllers that refused to sync. This video saved me hours of attempting to fix the issue, bloody legend!
Man you are life-saver! I was struggling with this issue for days. There is a stupid non sense Microsoft article about this issue and all solutions across the internet link to this article. Thanks God you have a simple video for this!
I'd like to say I added a 2019 Server to an existing 2012 domain and had this very replication issue. I was initially racking my brain looking at many different pages that all pointed to this solution, however this was the most clear step-by-step in resolving the problem. I followed this solution to a T and it fixed my problem, THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
You're a saint for this one. I have a test lab that mirrors production and environment running Windows 2012R2, and following this to a T did the job. I'm not sure if I missed this, but one thing I had to do differently was to also install DSFR on the destination DC.
It is an excellent video! we have two domain controllers and DC1 could not connect to SYSVOL in DC02. Replication did not work. I had been trying supposed solutions for some time but had not achieved anything. After applying the procedure shown in your video step by step, everything has worked again! Thank you!!!
Outstanding. I couldnt get a 2012R2 server im going to retire to properly replicate to a new Server 2019 DC. This vid seems to have done the trick. Great job
thank you. this helped me with PDC that had a corrupted system volume information database. I had to add a step in, that was to delete the DFRS folder in the system volume information folder before starting DFRS back up on the PDC.
Hey Thanks a lot for the help… issue got resolved by this but there was an error while doing pollad on additional dc.. after that also my gpos are getting replicated any suggestions
Thanks for this Video but i think my issue is different. The Second Domain Controller is Down and without a Backup, the Primary was down but restored from an Image. I am unable to join a new System to domain because of the DFS replication. The System State backup i did with idrive cloud software could not be restored on a new machine. There is no Secondary Domain COntroller as it is down and may never come up. Promoting another Server to take up the secondary role is not possible. I am not able to join any System to the domain as well. Do you have any recommendation on how i can solve this problem? I would really appreciate. I have been on this problem since about 4 days now before i stumbled on this video
This did not work for me. The 2nd domain controller does not have a CN=DFSR-LocalSettings in ADSI at all. And DFSRDiag doesn't work at all on either DC. I get an error that it doesn't exist.
You have to run dfsrdiag from a server in which you have installed DFS Services, I dont have them in my DCs so I used the installation I had on my Fileserver and run DFSRDIAG POLLAD /member:DC-01 and DFSRDIAG POLLAD /member:DC-02
what happens if u dont have sysvol entry in adsi edit? so if that entry is not there there is no question of mdfsr-enabled. i tried of manually adding it but didnt get that option to add, feeling helpless

6 years later and this is still relevant, thanks for posting.
Thank you, I can't believe I still have to do this in a clean 2022 server setup that has been showing this for weeks, instantly sorted

@1:30 in the DFS report:
Suggested action: "If this state does not change, see The Microsoft Web Site" - Best help information EVER ;)
