A new tool landed in my shop. A BRAND NEW 6040 CNC from CNCEST that will help me make great projects and maybe start a small family business.

How do you resolve the spindle not turning on? You set the frequency from 50hz to 400hz?

which post processor did you use for the machine?
I have one too, but I’ve already remodeled it. Because that Usb driver isn't really good rather bad. And the whole machine is inaccurate. On my own, the 2 axes of the X-axis are curved or already curved. The Z axis is also swinging ... I have replaced the controller with a UC300-5LPT Ethernet so you can now handle the limit switches, Normally the shape can be measured. At YT, the videos don’t completely cover reality ... not a bad machine but not a good one either. It needs to be dealt with a lot to be able to mill meaningful things to size (± 0.05). and 10l more coolant is very little, I have 40l and 40-45 ° celcus for 4-5 hours of milling.
I think you got a faulty cnc from the start. Mine runs great, makes a lot of projects for me. I use it for mass production and i didn't changed anything on it. I'm happy with this cnc for it's price.
How do you use a probe using the cnc controller that comes with the cnc 6040 machine?

Antifreeze coolant that is used for cars. Prevent the water to freeze on winter days.
Looks like a good machine for the money. If possible put the cutters up a bit higher into the collet. Reduces vibration and less chance of breaking cutters.

They are different sellers and different manufacturer. Some of them care about their customers, some don't
Does the spindle start automatically or do you have to click a button?
Can work both ways. I use vectric aspire and by default before moving from home point, first it starts the spindle automatically.
Will Grblcontrol (candle) work on this Machine.

Someone needs to make a installation software video on this Machine. I was thinking on buying it .
I just bought it today. I don't think it'll run candle, tho. I think you have to run Mach3 (or the like). Reason being, this machine doesn't understand g-code, only direct stepper motor control. I'll let you know when I get mine
So will this machine work on 110v.
I seen where it saying 220v.
Is there a switch to change it over, and I also saw it works better with a 32bit computer _ what's the issue if you only have 64bit.
There is no switch for 110v. I used windows 7 with 32 bit but worked just fine on windows 10 x64. No problem there.
You need to check with the seller the voltage question.

No problems yet but i only used it few times. Everything seems alright and i got it really cheap considering the prices now
Salut Daniel. Urmeaza sa-mi cumpar si eu in cateva saptamani un 4060 cu 4 axe. Poti te rog sa-mi spui cam ce nivel de zgomot produce in special pe metal? Nu stiu cat de izolat am eu spatiul destinat si sa nu deranjez vecinii. Voi fi nevoit sa las masina sa lucreze si noaptea la cateva proiecte. Multumesc anticipat, cu drag Florin.
Pe metal nu am lucrat dar pot spune că în lemn face zgomot destul de mare. Depinde de ce prelucrez, cu freza noua e silențios, pe măsură ce se uzează, face scandal. Daca veți folosi cu freze de gravat, cred că nu va fi așa zgomotos. Oricum nu e o avere de făcut o cutie izolata fonic și ai scăpat de griji.
Hi Daniël! Looks like you got it working right from the start? Didnt you have any problems figuring out how it works with Mach3? I judt received mine, but everything i do doesnt work. I will try you configfile tomorrow. Its kind of my last resort. Perhaps you can do a video on how to setup mach3 with the cncest6040?
I just put the files that i got on the CD over a fresh installation of mach3. Start mach 3, select mach3mill profile and that's it. It just worked.
I don't have that cnc anymore. I sold it and bought a new and bigger cnc. Look at my latest video 😁
Did it come with the top wood board?
No, just aluminum board. The mdf was added by me

Hello what is that blue wire connecting to the input of the back of the CNC spindle controller? And does that go to your computer
I think it's the USB connector. That way you control the CNC

Da, mi-am făcut treaba cu el. Am tăiat destule până nu a mai făcut față și a trebuit să iau mai mare și mai puternic.
Trebuie avut grija la viteze, eu am abuzat puțin și mi s-au dus rulmenții de la spindle in câteva luni.

Whole area is 770x480mm. Machines work area is about 580x380mm.
You would have more Z height if you had mounted 3/4 inch marine grade plywood right to the frame and skipped the aluminum.

Did you copy the settings profile, plugin and any file that was provided with the machine?
There is an xml file that contains profile settings with all the port/pins and other setup. Something called mach3mill.xml

Where you satisfied with this machine or did you replace it and why?
For hobby use it's good. I tried to make mass production and the spindle bearings started to make sounds and the ball screw started to loose parts and needed to reduce the speed because was blocking and loosing steps.
It's a good machine but I pushed it over the limit. For hobby use or maybe just prototypes it's perfect
@@DanielH alright.. my primary use would be cutting alu parts for my rc collection maybe occasionally to make a couple bucks and i would like to cut a waterblock for my watercooled desktop. Not sure at what point it would become mass production though?

Aluminium and steel. Only the wasteboard is from mdf

Would you recommend this cnc ?
Yes. But don't go like me, i used 6mm end mill, 3.5mm per step and 1500mm/min feed rate. I killed the y axis ball screw and spindle bearings. If I were more careful, this cnc would still be running.

Hello, how are you doing without limit switches? What is the maximum working area?
It's a little hard without limit switches but still usable. Also the maximum work area is somewhere around 580x380mm.

@@DanielH Yes I can manually turn spindle on from the controller. How you turn spindle on from Mach3? I run the G-Code with M3, it runs the line and moves on but the spindle doesn't turn on.
Daniel I just bought the cncest 6040 and with no instructions I have been in contact back and forth with my supplier and have gotten no where I got the vfd set up and working I downloaded Mach 3 and installed it I am using a windows 10 Intel i7 10th Gen lap top I can run the spindle in manual mode from the vfd only I can not get any axis to move. I did receive config. Settings from my supplier and still can get nothing working in Mach 3 ican see the dro reading but none of the axis move
Can you offer any advise?

Yes i did have it. It's in the first comment. But other people who bought something similar with mine didn't. It's a lottery. After you get it, i will instruct you to connect if you don't have any instructions
