I was in Germany for 2 years. If I simplify this thing. 5000 euro salary. After tax u get 3000 euros. In indian rupees 3000 euros means 2.70 lakh. Germany is 4 times costlier than india. So if ur earning 70k in india and 2.70 lakh in Germany. Both r same

It's a scam converting euro to inr. I will be interested to see if euros can give same middle class lifestyle as in India. Suppose if somebody wants a 2bhk house for family on rent, a sedan car on lease , travel occasionally and outing. Also save 30% of the net salary. Are u sure if I can manage this in 2.5k euro per month. I highly doubt it.

yep i think you are correct. but i think its starting salary . you can always earn more with experience by your side but yeah its not much of upgrade interms of money if you already have a salary of 12-15lpa( base) in india and move to germany to work with 60k euro. but you get many more things in germany such as better healthcare , better lifestyle , better transportation , better education for your children( if you plan to settle) , better future job opportunities , better visa( german visa 2nd strongest) , better worklife balance , easy to travel europe.

@Sam cris.....the things u are saying here like living in 2BHK and driving a sedan....I don't know which part or India u live in but in a city like Mumbai or any of the metropolitans like Delhi, Kolkata or even Bangalore or Hyderabad, if u live in the proper city then u really need to earn more than 90,000 - 1Lakh INR being the sole earner in the family.
And till now in India that is an elite class salary where Gazetted rank Government officers and MNCs are paying more than that!
I have been living in many parts of the world since last one decade and really the quality of life in Germany is on another level. Being in Dubai earning more than 5 lakhs INR (without Tax) a month driving some top Sedans and also a swanky SUV.....still I never had that quality of lifestyle which one can experience in Central Europe especially Germany being one of the strongest economies in the world.
Though very quite, empty and obviously weather being harsher, another country which gives that kind of life is definitely Canada.
USA can pay as high as Dubai,UAE with a high standard of living but surely u will not have that peace of mind which u enjoy in Germany or Canada.
And by the way with few years of proper experience and language skills people easily earn more than a hundred thousand euros in Germany which is huge!
