Make sure you offer water again after every ingredient. Along with this, also practice the following things during each Prahar:

Meditate of Shiv
When the formless energy of Shiv takes a form, It is the Panchamukhi Shiv with five faces which stands for the five aspects of creation and destruction. In the Linga Purana, the five faces of Shiv is said to represent the fivefold aspect of creation, five directions, five elements and the five senses. The mantra “Na Ma Shi Va Ya” has come from the five faces of Shiv.
According to the Skanda Purana, the Bilwa (Bel) tree grew from the sweat droplets of Parvati which fell on the Mandrachal mountain. From there the Bel tree emerged. Hence, it is believed that the Goddess resides in this tree in all her forms.
She resides as Girija in the roots of the tree, as Maheshwari in its trunk, as Dakshayani in its branches, Parvati in its leaves, Katyayani in its fruit, and as Gauri in its flowers. Therefore as Parvati resides in her various forms in this tree.
प्रधानं प्रकृतिर यदाहुर्लिगंउत्तम ।
गंध-वर्ण-रसहिंनं शब्द-स्पर्शादिवर्जितं ॥
- Linga Purana
The lingam is devoid of color, taste, hearing, or touch and is considered Prakriti or nature.
Shiva Linga is a beginning-less and endless cosmic pillar of fire which is the cause of all origins in the universe.
According to Skanda Purana, Shiva Linga is described as an endless sky that holds the entire Universe. It is said that at the end of time, all the Gods and the entire universe finally merge in the Shiva Linga itself. 🔱

I fast for 7 months in the name of lord Shiva.. every Monday, i will not eat anything. I could easily stay that way. But, at night once i break my fast i would feel extremely low energy. Guess! What during the day i would never feel hungry. That is blessing of lord Shiva.

that’s because your glucose level rises with eating water and then suddenly drops. You should eat protein in your fast breaking meal along with carbs and fibre
Greetings from Brazil! I am a Brazilian devotee of Mahadev. This will be my first Mahashivratri. It will be really special to me! But honestly, I am not in India and I am not familiar with these offerings. I know they exist, but it would be very hard to get hold of them or make them. Also, I do not have a Shivling. I will offer milk and water to the Lord on the alter I made for Him and chant and meditate on Him. I will offer Him my heart and my love. I hope it is enough. 🥰🥰❤❤🙏🙏 Hara Hara Mahadev!
You can make Him with clean clay as well
Visualisation is enough if you don't have the physical things, I think.

I have stared feeling a great inclination towards shaivism since 2020...i am 23 right now and I don't know if i have the right knowledge to start my spiritual journey...but the urge is powerful. I want to know more, i want to learn more about Shiva and Shakti. I will observe my first Mahashivratri fast this year. I want to start by stretching out of my physical and emotional comfort zone. The 'Sankalp' you talked about is exactly what i want to strengthen. I want an undeterred sense of determination and commitment. Start with yoga course. May be a teachers training at Rishikesh. Thats the basic thing for anyones spiritual journey. Trust me ,rest other things will start falling into place automatically. Shiva is the greatest yogi. Follow doing yoga,and you will get everything!

I'm 17 year old boy this will be my 3rd year for taking fast by avoiding all fluids and also food when i was a kid i really enjoy to pray shiva unless any other god and i feel that i should share you because when i was fasting since 2 mahashivratri I don't know the meaning why I'm doing but by inner voice bring me up to do that i hope it's inspire to other letting you know that I'm a normal human not doing any sadhna but i have more faith than all Gurus that are doing sadhna love you shiva..❤️

First of all, I salute your unique information and knowledge.
I would like to know the answers to some questions from you, please feel free to answer.
1). What is a mandala and how many days are there in a mandala?
From which day or date does it start?
2). There are so many types of Gods so how do we know which type of worship we should do?
Like I recite Shri Hanuman Chalisa every Tuesday and observe a complete Nirjala fast on every Ekadashi. And Ekadashi fast is dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
So which one God should I worship?
Someone says that first of all worship your clan deity because it is supreme for you and your lineage, so what should we do? Please guide us with your knowledge.
3). For example, suppose I have decided to practice a mantra (it can be anything in spirituality), should I do it with determination for a few days, months or years or for the whole life?
4). I had seen a video of Om Swami ji in which he was telling to hold on to one form of God and then do his sadhana, devotion and worship.
# So which form of God should one choose? I feel equal dedication towards everyone.
Suppose I choose one form, can I do this Navratri Sadhana?
And where to start meditation first?
