I like how one of the major roadblocks was caused by the choice to have an acacia instead of oak tree

The amount of pain you went through because you started with an acacia tree and not an oak is facinating given that oak is usually the default for skyblocks.
It's on purpose for more screen time, that plus not using bonemeal to get grass blocks and instead boating endermen

You can, all you needed to do was overload a chunk with laval in it by putting a metric shit ton of filled book and quills until the data capacity is reached
At which point if you leave and re enter the world the chunk will reset, giving you lava and possible more items
by that logic you could get everything.

He said earlier that he did not have a lot of Redstone, also a better way to get lava is to go to the moon via going to an april fools version with the vote option and voting for bouncy. there is a rover with a pressure plate when you step on it you have three seconds to get the lava from it and you only have one chance to get it. You could also get a green shulker box from doing this
It's been a norm for skyblock maps to use a mod to force sky terrain generation rather than normal generation since in the first one you could just build 2000 blocks and reach land.

It's true that you can't make more dirt with composters, that's a modded thing. But you can
a) buy more podzol from wandering traders and convert it to dirt
b) convert moss into podzol using large spruce trees or into rooted dirt using azalea trees, both of which can be turned into regular dirt
c) get gravel from piglin bartering, combine it with dirt to make coarse dirt and then convert it to normal dirt with a hoe

Technicaly you could find fully activated end portal, but it involves insane amount of luck and right seed.
you can because you can trade for dripstone blocks. On Java there is a chance for wandering traders to have the trade of 1 emerald for 2 dripstone. Then from there you use the dripstone farm like him and continue on

No. Technically, all you need is a single block of bedrock, no dirt nor trees needed. There is a great video series detailing exactly how this is possible by Jokeypokey.

The acacia tree was chosen deliberately because they dont drop apples so you can not rush villager trading also the starting biome was a big consideration. Not to mention all the brain work to figure out if it was beatable. The fox emerald farm and the lightning zombie pigman farm were great ideas by ilmango.

There's videos on how to beat minecraft with just a single grass block out there, but basically you get a zombie with a shovel to spawn, kill it, use the shovel to dig up snow blocks, use snow blocks to spawn emerald fox and wandering trader, use moss and saplings from trader for trees... and yeah.
14 blocks. 1 spawnable fullblock, 1 lava source, and 12 end portal frames, and the correct biome. That's it.

@@Abrogator91 CZcamsr jokeypokey has "how to play most of minecraft with just one grass block" as well as a bedrock variant of that going into more detail, but tldr, you starve yourself to half a heart, jump off, and because you respawn the moment you touch the void, mobs don't despawn due to distance but will spawn as you fall.

Mart I have a suggestion. I'm not sure if anyone has made this suggestion before, but given your propensity to do ridiculous challenges in Minecraft and your on-and-off addictive relationship with Factorio, you may want to give any of the Gregtech family of modpacks a shot. Nomifactory gives you the gist of the technology aspects in a (relatively) easy to digest form, and usually takes around 500h to complete, while Gregtech: New Horizons is basically that on fuck-everything insane hard mode and has an average completion time of around 8000 hours IIRC.
