That's not how music works. Fill your boots my friend. I listen to whatever I find interesting. One month ago I had not heard of Sara but now she is on the top of my playlist. She sings every kind of music you can imagine. What a talented young (compared to me) woman. Like my dad used to say..If I were six months younger....
I love how she is singing with so much passion, and she looks like she's truly having fun. She's not swearing to get a rise out of people or to be cool, she's doing it too express herself and to have fun. This was honestly so much better than I thought it would be

I love Sara Bareilles because she definitely has fun doing what she does. She is as classy as they come. She makes music from her heart and not for the dough. A lot of pop artists these days just do it for the dough which is very sad and unfortunate. There's where Sara comes in and she does not forget where she comes from either.
I heard her play live in Vegas many years ago. She had a mouth of a truck driver. It was hilarious. Taste of Las Vegas. There were parents getting outraged, and she was like, “deal it with.” 🤣

Sara is one of the few people that can sing in music videos, do songs live, whatever, and they sound pretty much the same. It's not like their voice is all fake, her's is pure talent and it's amazing.

What I love the most about this is the lack of cell phones in the audience!! THAT is how amazing music like Sara bareilles music should be enjoyed. No distractions just being totally in it!

I've been to so many concerts I completely lost count. Mostly skatepunk gigs, and Phish tours, but everything in between as well; Tool, James Taylor, Band of Horses, you get the point.
All this to say, Sarah's Oct. 2019 show in Salt Lake City was hands down the best concert I've ever seen. It was breathtakingly perfect. She had different musicians with her who carried a captivatingl elegance. Still the same Sarah, but slightly dialed back.
ANYHOW, at one point I straight-up burst into tears. Truly outta nowhere. I wasn't embarrassed or trying to fight them or anything. I'd never been moved to tears like that and I loved every second of it. Without sounding hyperbolic and absurd, it changed something in me. That sudden release of pure, exquisite, joy was . . . I can't explain it properly. Here we go, I'd call it brief aural nirvana. Transcendent. And I was sober! I left that arena on cloud 9.
Anyhow, that's my Sarah story.
