Souza is _such_ a good photographer and photojournalist. (I say that as a photographer.) What a great asset to have had in the White House during such an important, groundbreaking presidency! Whoever it was that made the genius move of hiring him (or who knew about him; however that happened) did a damned fine job.
Obama personally hired him.

Obama was a wonderful president. I disagreed with some of his policies, but he always conducted himself with dignity. He treated others with respect, like an adult and professional. I was proud to be American then.

Why would you mix a compliment with “I disagreed w his policies!”
Be very specific and explain a policy you didn’t agree with.

Charming Lass Being a horrible person and pretending to be nice is not all that difficult and Obama was really good at it...Yes, he took cute pictures with children but he also mass- murdered hundreds of thousands of children in Syria, Libya and helped Saudi Arabia do the same in Yemen.. he respected staff but also bombed dozens of Doctors from Doctors Without Borders..he pretended to be on the people’s side but gave Billions of dollars to Wall Street.. the list can go on but Obama made a huge contribution in ruining this country..

Also hundreds of thousands is no where even CLOSE to the numbers of civilian casualties during obama's tenure. Obama's bail out literally saved us from a financial collapse potentially greater than the great depression. Obama made a huge contribution in fixing this country
He was not always a wonderful President. But he was always a wonderful man.

Check out Pete Souza's instagram page - follow it! His work & skill is *definitely* (& rightly, imo) appreciated, *LOVED* & the response absolutely led to his book. 'Come for the photos - how it started; stay for the 'shade' in his captions' - it's somehow just subtle enough to be (almost) classy.
My favourite: an amazingly beautiful photograph of a storm rolling over the White House, thick black cloud just about to open; amazing colours.
One word caption: "Stormy."
Hs timing is everything.

Yo I have this book! I love every single thing about it. I felt like I was actually there. You know he's a professional when you feel the same way he probably felt taking the picture.

He convinced a kind of racist guy from Georgia visited the White House House all the offensive jokes and lies were out of bounds by being the same gentleman. Shook his hands, was like and totally rocked that guy's view. I haven't heard of any time where Obama wasn't well mannered and friendly even before politics.

@@BosshowdoI Yeah, sounded genuine to me, too, the first time. Then I watched it again more carefully. He might have been kindly laughing at a guest who is not particularly funny, but who already signaled he thought he was with the story about his wife. I think that's Trevor being a good host.

Obama was far from perfect as a president, but he brought dignity to the office, the scale of which we only slowly realize now.
Yes he was. None of us creatures are perfect. There is only One who is perfect and that's GOD. I think Mr Obama knew full circle that he was not perfect but his wife Michelle, whom he said that she keeps his ego in check said that in the title of her book " Becoming". We are all on a journey of Becoming. As long as we breathe in and out we learn each and every day. That's exactly what made his presidency a great one. Thanks Mr and Mrs Obama for appreciating the mercy God had given to you to keep America safe. I thank God for that. May God Almighty bless America.
he was a great president
A good and intelligent man and a darn good photographer. As a photographer myself, I know how difficult it is to take a picture that also radiates heart and soul. Virtually all of Souza's images have that quality.
My family met President Obama and the First Lady in 2014. My brother was one of the Fort Hood severely wounded shooting victims. I can’t explain how incredibly genuine these two beautiful human beings were. It’s a day I will never forget💙💙💙💙💙💙
