You call us witches spelled with a B by Cathy Achilles
I wrote this poem in 2023.
When women exuberate strength, they are called derogatory names. Every woman, whether she is in corporate or providing for a family in a nameless village, deserves respect.
Unfortunately, in 2024, we still have to crawl through endless "barbed wires" to showcase our full potential to the world. In my poem, I celebrate a few women who changed the trajectory of history. According to Statista, there are 3.95 billion women in the world.
I celebrate the 3.95 billion warriors. Their names might not be written in the history books but that does not mean that they are not making history. In their own sphere of influence, they are making a difference.
