Even if KD comes cheap, i.e. the 24th & 25th first round picks this year - don't do it. He's 35, past his prime, has a big EGO and turned the Knicks down before - he'll cost way too much and ruin the financials of the team. Mikal Bridges should be the target = Villanova guy, tough from Philly, plays both sides of the ball, would blend in seamlessly with the gang. And he's 27 years old like the other Nova guys. Plus, the Brooklyn Nets need to rebuild and should be willing to deal with the NYK this time around despite the competition between the clubs for the hearts and minds of the City fans. The NYK don't need to acquire mega stars well into their 30's and past there prime by emptying out all the draft picks whereby mortgaging the future like was done before with the Melo trade [ I loved having Melo, but the cost set the franchise back several years]. Leon Rose has been making strategic trades with a foundational plan in place. Now is not the time to think short term and be foolish. And if game 5 against Indiana was any indication, all the NYK need to do is to tweak the roster, not destroy it. And the team that beat Indiana last night was made up of guys who were acquired to come off the bench, mostly. What more proof does one need to see the HEART & SOUL this team has. With Julius, Mitchel, OG and Bogdan coming back next season, we don't need to panic and think irrationally. STAY THE COURSE. GO NYK !!!!!!!!!!!
