Old School Runescape is an old version of RuneScape, taking place from what RS was like in 2007. You can play OSRS for free at oldschool.runescape.com - Hry
Don't know if anyone has mentioned this yet, but when farming cows for combat levels. you should also pick up the bones and bury them so you can get prayer levels to work towards that total level.
He mentions in other videos that he doesn't feel like leveling prayer in f2p is worth it. I personally disagree, but that's why he didn't mention it.
@Aaron-mj9ie does he really say that? I guess that's his opinion. But my opinion is that it's definitely worth it haha.
takes too much time, its not worth the time you spend picking up and burying those bones. It's a miniscule amount of time for each but it'll add up quickly.
This will be good for new players and existing f2players alike. Once you get that bond I think the logical next step is how to sustain your bonds as a p2p with the same character.
If you can write up a route for new members to sustain their bonds while also getting quests done I think this can be very healthy for the game.
I would recommend potentially covering a route up to doing shades of mort'ton to make money on oil. Treasure trails, Gnome cooking/delivery+quests and misc hide tanning/crafting/smithing.
quite easy to sustain the bonds as a member, the only annoying thing is, they are getting more expensive so you gotta grind more *sigh*
pretty much lul
@Original6Productions not new at all idk why you would bring that up. Suggesting wc and fletching while not a bad idea isnt a superior choice if your goal is making pure money. Rc is fine albiet boring. My goal is variety and exploration.
@Original6Productions also there are an absolute bonkers large amount of ways to make money in this game and they deserve to be explored to make sure players are thinking outside the box. A lot of them while no profit snek, can be rather lucrative.
blast furnace, blast furnace, blast furnace.
I just love your style of humour and editing and everything. It's perfect
Heahouldve done the unrestless gost quest easiest 9 lvls of my life
WOW!! A gtfo from f2p video that doesn't involve flipping, trading with other players and doing luck related drop farming!! Incredible.
That was the aim, to have a reliable set of f2p money making vids that stand the test of time and don't rely on unreliable methods
You should probably do that stuff as well though.
@@EveryTimeV2 what a fool. enjoy flipping and losing your gains.
@@VirgoDPS fr there are some people that are a little too obsessed with flipping. though i guess they could say the same about my slayer lol
@@VirgoDPS I’ve played other mmo’s where the best thing to do is flipping so naturally I wanted to do it in this game, let me just say that it is the safest and least affective flipping I’ve ever done, I’ve never lost no but I make like 10k a flip by spending around 1mil it’s not good, not even decent.
I would like a video of you going through what to do in members once you get membership because since you get 14 days of membership the people following this guide need to make another 3.7m to continue membership
Jayden Meyer but you need to make more then that so it is worth while.
That port Sarim method hahaha, I remember doing exactly that back when I was 10 - 11 in like 2010/11 ish. Somehow ended up back watching RS after not playing for over 7 years
Some people: oh my it will scare the free players
Me, a free player: huh, thats easier than what i was doing, i should play rune scape again, it looks easier
Tip: oak logs are worth alot now so chop some wood down for 160k per hour.
a good way to make money in free to play is gold jewelry, the reason is because Games Necklaces are very expensive. They require a gold bar, and a sapphire. those two items are very cheap compared to the games necklace itself!
Especially compared to what it took to make money way back in the day lol if I didn’t get bored back then I won’t get that bored now.
Lol it's funny how "No don't tell people to do that: It's boring and people will hate the game" translates flawlessly into "No don't tell people to do that: I will make less money."
Loving the easy going style of these videos. Just got back into runescape after years of not playing and these really help me out a lot.
Really liked your comic strip style explanation for fishing lobbies! Love the vids keep up the good work!
Your videos legitimately taught me a lot I wouldn't have known about had I tried to make money and level on my own. I've combined the lvling money making methods with some money making methods I've seen in other videos, or had suggested by friends, and I'm having a lot of fun with the game so far.
I love the Earthbound sound effect at the beginning of both videos! So good.
Dicerz. One of maybe 3 OSRS CZcamsrs who are worth watching.
Thank god for the second part!!! I’m very excited that you continued this! Kinda wish though there was like a recap of last episode or atleast talk about because I forgot what you did for 800k 😂
Great guide man I believe the new players need these videos, I wish I had these videos back in 07 would of advanced faster in the game
But we didn't really care about being efficient back then.. Well I didn't anyway I just enjoyed make bronze bars and selling armour to new players in lummy haha
I just started playing osrs and this series helped me so much to get closer to a bond. Also, dicerz is a funny guy so I found a new creator to support.
Thanks for all the informational videos Dicerz. You are one of the few youtubers I watch for Osrs and the time you take to make these videos really shows. Thank you. Ps. you have gotten me addicted to med clues crolls no boots yet though
Thanks for the kind words! Good luck on getting ranger boots :)
awesome thing u did here for the newbs :) liked and subscribed
0:20 the face of a legend
Started playing like 2 years ago and didnt even make it off tutorial island. Started playing again yesterday and getting off tut island I was still just not sure how to get started. This dudes guide got me started and now I'm hooked. Thanks man
no problem mate, have fun.
Like the vids! Although you don't have to deal with bots, just hop to quieter worlds! The only issue you'll find is doing zammy wines because it's hard to find a quiet world, especially upstairs.
Every single video I watch teaches me so much! Thank youu
word up mate. thanks for the party hat, was having a supremely dead birthday and it was a nice surprise when you popped up outta nowhere into Draynor
yo dicerz I just came back to say, i escaped f2p following your guide in october of 2020. it is may of 2021 and i have unlocked finally a 1m/hr moneymaker. thanks for getting me into the game.
I quit runescape 10 years ago, and now watching videos and makes me want to play again smh
dude for the sake of it, give it a go. I did after around 5-6 years and ive been playing in my spare time for around 30min a time and its a nice little time waster. best now its on mobile!
Love these videos!
This video is made with so much love ❤️ thank you 🙏
God knows why people are complaining to you these guides are the best I’ve seen and have helped me I’m new to RuneScape never played it before and now am understanding it thanks to you please make more videos liked and subscribed
I just started playing runescape and these guides helped me earn a nice amount of gp
I did not know there is a deposit box at Port sarim!! I've made 100s of runs to draynor because that's what I used to do way back in the day. Lol
I really like f2p because it holds so much nostalgia to me. It is the one place that havent changed since 2007. Well small changes like the hill giant boss but nothing major. And the community in f2p worlds are generally more social than members. I find myself exploring on my f2p char every now and then just to get that true oldschool feeling again.
Sometimes I go to f2p to help noobs out, and teach them the wonders of mems. I also encourage f2p moneymakers because it's the most fulfilling experience in my opinion.
I had no idea about the deposit box, i would teleport to falador and make my way back to port sarim.
What I also remeber from my time in 2009 was picking up the ashes after firemaking, it's decent profit
This guide has been super useful for me thanks
Very nice!
Great guide im sitting around 1m in f2p and want my bond so bad. I used to be a member back in 2010 and im back now to get my bond and your guide really help thank
good luck in getting the bond :P
You can do hobgoblins in the same area as hillgiants, just go to the other path
Dark warriors fortress is a great way to train magic and get free chaos runes. Lose aggro by training on warriors, then collect the chaos runes by hopping worlds. Once u hit the world hop limit just train for a few mins then continue hopping.
Remember to subtract member skills from your total level :)
TangoTeaTime - What Member Skills? That account hasn't been to Members' Worlds yet.
@@Davtwan your members skills start at 1 and add to your total level. 500 level worlds only count f2p skills so you actually need 509 total level i think.
Kw - Huh. Thanks, good to know.
Dicerz you really have to change your into since it says 16k subs however you have 33k subs XD
Daikon Brief - Why are you saying it here and not in a separate comment?
Appreciate you 👌🏻
I bought a full zamorak armor and the rune scimmy mod in one weekend by farming tf out of oak logs. At this point in time they are valued at 136 each. Rune axe and oak trees = full bag in 1-2 minutes.
Also I feel like a slightly better fishing technique early on for levels is to cut wood and light it after fishing, then cook it all so you can just get a whole bunch of levels done at once. the fish won't matter until lvl 20 anyways so there's no need to walk back and forth. Definitely good for Ironman players at the very least.
I've found additional tip regarding iron ore: It is advantageous to connect to a world with as low population as you can (very low pop servers needs either 500 all around skill or 750, but those in the 200s range will do fine). Why? There's less of a chance that a particular ore spot will be occupied by another player or a bot which means you can mine iron as soon as you get 15 mining even with a crappy pickaxe in easy spots (such as those near grand exchange). Another tip: Iron is apparently in very high demand (so high that once you click sell in exchange it's already converted into gp) so it doesn't hurt to bump up price a bit as well.
//edit: Just noticed that the same would help with telegrabbing zammy wines.
Personly I love grinding.
Dude hobgoblins are north of hill giants
such a great video im not even new at all lol im 2000 total but just love this kind of content
Hey Dicerz :)
I have a really cool 9-5 video idea that you might like, 9-5 picking up floor loot at Wintertodt. I've been grinding it out recently and people drop items constantly that are worth 5k+. I feel like you could get some decent gp per hour and I think it would be a very interesting video!
The economy nowadays makes no sense. Everything is worth 2-4x less now
It's rough out there nowadays
Its because the lower tier shit isn't used because the community only cares about progression now. If the item isn't used for making some decent exp related item for a skill, its basically worthless. Its whack
Bots
Another method is to get 55 mage for high alch and go to middle of lava maze. Collect steel plate bodies on 2 accounts if you can, then high alch them. Since there are more worlds now this is a viable money making method. It didn't work before the mobile update because you could get all the plate bodies before the first would respawn. You would have to wait like 10 mins
I noticed today after 15 years that everybody in RS has little black slit voldemort eyes and I'll never see the game the same way again
How about make a video about best way to maintain bond with the help of the 7 day free member ship trial.
I have seen people do both floors on zammy wines before, but normally it's about 4-5 am central U.S. time when the nocturnal people like myself are up trying to take advantage of most people being asleep. Same for seeing people doing wilderness methods like the f2p coal mine right inside the wildy.
'That playlist in the bottom right has over 200 of them' still accurate but noticibly outdated with almost 400, lol. Loveur vids though
Please show us the playtime after getting bond. Im memb but I love the episode
there are 55 f2p worlds available to a new account, simply get 30 mining and 33 smithing, make 275 steel med helmets and sell them in sets of 5 for each world at the helmet shop in the barbarian village, after that make 275 steel full helmets and sell them in the same method as before to the same shop, after than make 275 steel chain bodys and sell them in falador chain shop in sets of 5, after that make steel plate legs and sell them in sets of 5 to the legs shop in al-kharid and after that make steel plate bodys 275 and sell in sets of 5 to the body shop in varrock. then pick your fav method rinse and repeat in sets of 275 so when you are re mining the materials the shops empty. once you've reached mithril med helms rinse and repeat. :)
A little tip save all your bones until your a member than use a guilded alter in someone's house
I finally farmed a bond today. Hell yeah.
Welp gunna have 3x the compition at the crafting guild soon. Oh well, good video
After you get the first bond, you need to cover ways to maintain it
Just a note for the end, you wrrent actually getting those wines on the bottom, atleast not all the time. Closer players often get it even if you cast Tele grab first.
Thank you for the videos!
I dont even play runescape but i like the vids about it and i dont know why
fighting imps at karamja volcano is nice gp since beads are nearly 1k ea and they drop mind talisman which is 3k.
I friggin love your voice.
I never knew wine of zamorak added a second room, that will help me a lot lol thank you.
You need to cover ogress warriors
Logs (as I'm posting this) are pretty bad rn, damn Oaks go for 25!
140 now lol
I think a good idea after this is how to maintain your bond after getting members.
Yeah i like the idea, I've had that on my list of video ideas for months and this is a good gateway to make a "maintain membership" type series
Can you show what you have done in the previous episode at the beginning of a episode, instead of at the end of the previous one?
I just got into osrs this week and i’m making bank on ashes 151gp each and since I gotta level my firemaking it’s pure bank
You could always sell your burnt foods to certain groups, buying for like 50 - 85 gp or more for certain types.
I don't play Runescape, but I just watched a guy selling a bunch of burnt foods to a group that buys specifically burnt foods and making a profit.
Good luck, bond is almost 6 million gp now :)
@dicerz how is your game so smooth?? my movements look like stop-motion animation where as yours flows like water.
runelite plugin
On a brand new account just loot addy arrows in wild / PVP world to 50K - 100K then spend all your GP on gold bars, then craft them to gold amulets. Sell the amulets on GE and repeat until you have GP for a bond. It’s decent crafting and GP especially for a brand new account. You just need 5 QP for access to GE which you can do with sheep shearer cook assistant and Romeo Juliet. Then get the buyable for goblin diplomacy to get 5 crafting after sheep shearer gets you to 3 crafting.
It’s fairly AFK so you can play on another account while crafting on the alt as well
gold bars are more expensive than amulets
Try telegrabbing nature runes in wildy
not profitable
It's funny even if you're doing a 2mil an hour money making method it's still more efficient to work an hour at minimum wage irl.
Where my venezuela boys at
Are those widgets like enemy health and GE item price floating above a drop normal now or how did you get that ingame?
I'm kinda late but he is using runelite, a runescape client that adds a bunch of helpful stuff
Go to the lumbridge catacombs, kill the bats and every so often they drop “bat wings” they sell for 4k each
Catacombs aren't in OSRS
while doing Woodcutting you should just burn the logs, collect the ashes and sell them since the ashes for 32 at least and the logs only sells for like 12/13 gp. otherwise good walkthrough guide.
Honestly returning new player here haven't played since before runescape 3 came out so I had to make a fresh account since my high level account is now in rs3 I have to say thank you for teaching the old ways again it's been so long I forgot how to play and I'm on mobile, feel free to add me I'm going to make a hi man character and do your methods
For the record (this might be what you already did, I dunno), you can use the same login for rs3 as osrs, it’s just you will have to start over. Maybe that’s what you meant by making a fresh account, but I thought I’d make sure. That way if you have membership on one, you’ll have it on the other as well.
Before watching this vid I had the same idea
things you should have done differently:
Crafting do Sheep Shearer. Get 20 balls of wool and go talk to the farmer in lummy. level 2 crafting (more if you make the balls of wool yourself)
Cooks assistant if you haven't. 4 Cooking instantly
6 Clay (not soft clay!) 4 Copper ores 2 Iron ores before you do goblin diplomacy do Dorics Quest: 10 mining achieved
Goblin Diplomacy (if you dont make balls of wool yourself) 4 crafting (make the balls yourself I believe your level 5)
Start restless ghost, Rune Mysteries and have the 4 beads for imp catcher.
Restless ghost gives you: 10 prayer and small combat exp IF you fight the skeleton (dont have to)
Imp Catcher since you bought the beads and brought them with you: 8 magic
Cash in Rune Mysteries (this gives no expo but opens runecrafting to you for when your a member)
Do knights sword! (Bring good food!!!!!) Pickaxe, Redberry Pie iron ore and a pick! - 29 smithing!
Look at quest guides for all of these. HOWEVER, if you did all these things you would shoot up:
5 Crafting (I believe you'll have this is you made all the balls of wool yourself) + 4 cooking + 10 mining (instantly can do knights sword now), 10 prayer, 8 magic, 29 smithing: 62 total level
Now why would I want to do all this? For quest points silly and to get all these ftp quests out of the way. Before you become a member at all, ALL ftp quests should be done. Completely. (Some of these numbers maybe wrong im awful at math and I didn't wanna spend so much time on this LOL)
Anyhow, doing these quests will unlock further content like Dragon Slayer. Once you have a decent about of hp I would say do Vampire slayer, Demon slayer (Probably level 20 hp or so if good enough with lobsters.) LOTS of combat exp.
By no means is this a guide and you should play as you want. However I figured I would throw this out there as your doing harder things that doesn't 100% progress your account for members, your doing it in the "fastest" way possible instead.
Yeah i was going to include quests in these videos but ultimately decided that its a money making guide and I'd rather let new players discover and experience quests on their own. I did eventually do all the f2p quests on the account (its in the next part) but i don't go into detail.
Some of the recent F2P to P2P series don't mention doing any quests. Kind of curious why that's not mentioned since you needa do quest to essentially do Dragon Slayer and wear rune gear. Vampire Slayer (which I'm not sure if you did) and Restless Ghost are worth doing if you're going for 500 skill total since they give a decent chunk of exp.
I've done quests on the account now and that will be in part 3, originally i had no intentions of showing quests or anything other than money making really.
how did you do that you can see description with value of items that you have or items on the floor? you also have very exact combat level with numbers after dot ; also what arrows did you use on hill giants from level 20?
for your first couplequestions, he is using the RuneLite client which has these features. Much better than the official client
Man I love listening to the accent
I thought there was a guy that notes your fish on karamja instead of running back to port sarim
What's up with the footage at 10:30? The pictures kind of look like phone screenshots.
Is there a link to that Gold jewellery wiki page?
Why didnt you do a bunsh of quests to progress faster? Like knights sword, gets you from 1-29 smithing in one go, dorics quest gives you 1-10 mining, you do it right before knights sword, and vampire slayer gives you decent amount of attack to get early lvls. A good thing to show new players really.
i do in the next episode
how useful would it be to run for yourself on alt to bank gold ores from crafting guild?
That would be effective i think and make it a top f2p money maker i think. Even more so if you have high enough level to beat out everyone else at the guild
@@Dicerz Now am doing f2p bond challange myself as well :D, watching so many of these, might as well try myself too :D
Dude idk if it’s changed, but a few months ago 502 would not let you get on a 500 world, because as a F2P they include the members skills which you are level 1 in, so technically you need to be at least 508 - 8 members skills to count as 500. Unless you’re a member, then the 8 skills count towards your total 500.... that’s what happened to me anyways
Yeah that happened to me too, i never used the 500 worlds but the top floor of the chaos temple is unlocked at 500 total unlike the worlds.
How do you have it set so that you see the names of items that the monsters drop without right clicking?
Hey man, this is a feature from a different way to play the game (different client) called runelite/osbuddy. Jagex have confirmed that they are fine to use and aren't bannable, but I'd be careful with any other clients than those.
Two questions: Any good ways to get money on Ironman? I have about 49k at combat level 45, but not being able to use the GE makes it hard.
And during a clue scroll, I got a Team Zero cape, Roughly 5m gold. Anyone have any reason why I shouldn’t drop Ironman and just sell it? Morals vs money and all that...
Mine silver, turn it into unstrung holy symbols, and sell them to general stores.
Are you captain price from modern warfare?
What's up with all the red circles around 7:53?
I know this is 3 years old and all, but I hope you didn't let people's "don't do ____ in your video because it's boring" comments impact your vids - I am a F2P ultimate Iron Man , and not everyone finds F2P content boring - some of us actually enjoy the grinds! ;P Cheers
I Would like to see a guide on how to make a mil a day with natural growth using easy skills. Not much AFKable skills, but if they are AFKable that would be a great plus. I Feel like mining might be an okay candidate after 70-85 mining at motherlode, but the issue with that is you get all the coal and other ores mixed in with your runite and adamant ores. I Also haven't tried doing the math on how much you would make in an hour at those levels.
And by natural growth i mean things like using skills, rather than merch flipping, or scanning the wild for pk loot etc etc
Also, I Heard that slayer is really good, But i'm veering away from combat until i get better armour and weapons
cool video, those steps are also enjoyable when playing the game
was bout to say get wizard mind bombs but u covered it. and not hard to get really.
a more fun way to level cooking. buy chicken cook it sell it
10gp per cooked chicken. sure u make a loss at first but who cares?
once u can make wine. its a crap ton of cooking exp. and u can save the wine for leveling range or magic later on.
No dislikes! Wow
should've done quests for skills
