Would be nice if there was a one-click AWS lightsail + bitnami or what they call it to one-click install everything to get the Wordpress on Arm server Graviton working.. 😆 I'm trying to follow your github but am stuck at mysql secure installation I need to figure this thing out 😀

Hi Charbax. If you are not specifically interested in getting your WordPress site running on an Arm architecture (Graviton), try the one-click WordPress marketplace option on DigitalOcean. Coincidentally I just launched a new WordPress blog and wrote up an article on how to do that here: fireflywp.com/how-to-create-a-wordpress-site-in-less-than-an-hour/ I like the idea of Graviton, but so far, the cost and convenience have not been competitive with Digital Ocean for the very reason you mentioned. AWS does one-click install everything for Lightsail, as you said, but when I tried that option a couple years ago, I had trouble with Bitnami/AWS not keeping the image up to date. I got tired of logging into my WordPress instance and getting warned that the PHP version was outdated and vulnerable. I would have gladly migrated my site to a new Lightsail model, but at the time, there was none available with a recent version of PHP. I made this video a year ago, and since then, I discovered Digital Ocean's one-click WordPress option. Digital Ocean does a better job keeping its one-click WordPress option up to date with newer PHP versions, and it is much easier than the full manual install I describe in my Graviton project repo.

Hopefully in a few months when I might need to upgrade my wordpress install, hopefully by then there will be Arm based Bitnami/Lightsail one-click Wordpress installs available, and hopefully I'll figure out to more or less easily migrate my website database from one to the next by that point.
I like the idea of doing this for free on the Free Tier, but I will see if my website traffic can stay low enough to work ok on such a small server. If my website gets more traffic again as it once have, I might consider to upgrade to a larger instance :)

CZcams seems to hide my other post here cause I linked to my arm site. :)
