Create and Host a Wordpress Website on AWS EC2 with your own domain name!

- In this video, I show you to create and deploy a Wordpress website on AWS using AWS EC2.
You can install Wordpress in a click by using AWS Lightsail, but we are going to do it the traditional way - we will create a virtual computer on EC2, install and configure a web server, database management system and finally install wordpress and connect a domain name to the created site.

So if i move from shared webhosting to amazon, how i can do for multiple sites, do i have to make several apache (computer) or just all in one. And also how to secure my website, shared hosting servers have their own firewalls what to do if we do ourselves on AWS as you explained above. Can you guide us.

Hello Tech Raj, Highly useful tutorial. I experienced one issue with the above procedure.
Installation of theme, is throwing error : "Installation failed: Could not copy file astra/404.php. Permissions for folders and files are set as 755 and 644 respectively.
Can we connect to resolve the error?

Hi I have a question is there a way to find out what my ftp server is as its not letting me delete plugins that came preinstalled and asking for ftp server hostname ftp username and ftp password, thanks to your video I already followed all the steps and installed the WordPress on apache2 server

I'm sorry, but I cut the process and exit during the domain settings. And when I try to connect to the IP address I "cannot connect to the IP", is there any way to fix that???

10:30 if the file is .zip and not a .tar file, just type ‘unzip’ followed by file name and press enter to unzip the file

Yeah, but in most cases, the user first has to install the 'unzip' command using 'sudo apt install unzip'.

Hi I'm stuck in Mobaxterm config, after connecting the wp key I'm getting a network error and the session stopped

when i used mobaxterm to connect , it shows connection timed out when i try to connect?
Also i think it is because of this statement " Your key must not be publicly viewable for SSH to work. Use this command if needed:
chmod 400 wordpress_server.pem"" which is written in my aws console.
can you explain what to do?
After all of these configs, how much would it cost monthly? Would it be cheaper or more expensive than lightsail?
