- Hi, Welcome to the video, here we have some cool truck from New Zealand probably the coolest truck in the world we think ;)
you will see Scania which has some of the nicest looking rigs out here, other trucks are Kenworth, Mack, Fuso, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Daf, Western Star, and more!
please enjoy
matt
That turn in bay for trucks to allow traffic to pass is brilliant.
Good to see the courtesy shown of the professional drivers.
So i guess Australia and New Zealand are the paradise for Truck fans. Cool looking rigs and the variety of brands.
Australia 1st NZ a close 2nd.
@@AUmarcus
We (Aus& NZ) run longer trailer's and carry more than the Yanks, their prime movers take up half trailer length before they even hook on to a trailer 😂
@@fredorico41
Australia has the heaviest road transport vehicles in the world.
Australia is extremely demanding. Lands owned by their indigenous people are not paved and the heat is always trying to kill you. With an economy booming from the export of raw materials, it makes sense Australia has some impressive rigs. There's a city in China which traces all its steel infrastructure from a single mine in Australia. Delivered to the ports by ‘Road Trains’ .
The variety of vehicle brands available in Aus and NZ are great.

The Kenworths are also built here in Australia....more heavy duty than the US versions.
This truckers aren't folling around... Badass rigs and badass drivers... Respect...
Nothing to do with trucks, but thousands of young NZ soldiers marched over this hill from Featherstone training camp to the Upper Hutt railway station.
They then travelled by train to the Wellington wharves to embark on ships for the battlefields of Europe in WW1.
There’s a memorial on the summit where some of this was filmed.
FYI
Thanks for the info cheers.
thanks love military history. 👍👋!

Shows no overloading & the best amoung drivers of the world.KEEP IT UP👍👍👍
Cool turnout to let 4 wheelers by. Looks like both know what to do. Quite a variety of trucks
Thanks for the video.
Alot of twin steers, different axle configurations and different rigs.
Thanks for sharing.
I would love to go to this place and operate one of these riggs
Uuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
You can't use the gear. Its impossible
Great video, although it doesn’t really show just how steep, windy and difficult this road is. It has been improved greatly over the last few years, but until quite recently there were several corners where you couldn’t get around in a truck without going onto the other side. I have also seen a couple of trucks stalled out and unable to continue as it was too steep to get started again. In the days of the 280hp japanese trucks, first gear was necessary for most of the ascent.

Keep it new zealander👍👍👍nice to 👀watch
Ésos kenworth K -200 cómo están realmente bonitos al igual qué los freightliner Argosy. Saludos desde México DF. Buenos videos.
The New Zealand trucking industry make the US trucking industry look like school children.
Man the sure know how to do it right.
So y don't yous change it all the truckers in USA should band together and fight for longer trailers to cart more for customers be worth the long trips then
Great video, my Dad use to drive logging and chipliners for Dyne's Transport in the 70's. It bought back memories for me when we visited the North Island a couple of years ago. Napier has huge port.
I drive that Hill (Mountain) 2x daily it’s a hell of a drive
I'm too scared to drive over the Remutaka's in a car, so mad respect for the truckers
One thing l notice about the Kiwi 🥝 trucks. Don't seem to be any sh!t boxes anywhere? So the gear be up to the task to take on that climb.
good truck
Muito lindo o lugar AMO A NEW ZELÂND. OS CAMINHÕES SÃO LINDOS
The scenery looks similar to parts of highways 152 and 58 in California
People need to start comparing it to usa an australia. Those countries have straight roads and are nothing like our roads🤣🤣🤣 hence why you see so much configurations
Never gets old. 👍
toll truck @ 8.20 is my old man haha, good driver too.
Mean as!
Terbaik canggih truck dari New Zealand...negara yg aman dan kurang terjadi apaX rusuhan dan sbagainya..inilah negara New Zealand...
I love trucks more than the misses.

@@newzealandtrucks I’m not sure but I think that what they call some of them overseas. Thanks for your video.
The double trailer rigs in NZ are known as B trains and are 20m. The B double rigs in Australia are 26m and the B triple rigs in Australia are 36.5m while multi trailer Road Trains in Australia can be up to 53.5m.
All the worlds brands in one country...just missed the italian Iveco and the Volkswagen Trucks from Brazil 🤪
Greetings from Cologne, Germany
we have few Iveco but not VW i dont think
Iveco is sold in Australia and NZ....they dont have the best reputation.
Very large vehicle market in NZ and Aus.
Loggers going hell, west and crooked. Thanks for this, enjoyed.

hello from NZ
Awesome video really enjoy watching New Zealand truck combinations.
Cheers mate
Was and always will be a damned intimidating piece of roadway. Remember a time when l was told the gorge route was closed and had to take that route. Keep you on your toes that one. And we were driving B trains then. Wouldn't know what it's like with Doubles these days?
Hi from Finland
Lovely riggs
Os caminhões e a paisagem são lindos!
Paisagismo lindo com estes lindos caminhões.

@@qballz69 that's a sweet rig boss
For ppl that have never driven this road its probably one of the most advanced level roads in nz. Tricky in a car let alone a 4axle semi
Is it worse than the mangamuka gorge up north? Genuine question
@@awhimatebabee alot steeper and longer than the Mangamuka. Certain places on this hill truck drivers have to call up on the CB to let others know there location so they don't meet each other on a certain corner where they may hit.
Nice, beautiful video and places.
Grate you from Aden Yemen
Nice upload really feast full 💜
Very nice vedio bro iam from indian kerala
🎉🎉vídeo excelente 🎉🎉 continue assim ,um abraço aqui do Rio de janeiro 🇧🇷🍻
halo i am from kerala india but i like truck life
Welcome
Many truck brand in there, japan, korea euro, usa. Great!!
You see themes too, USA tend to be the rugged long hauler, euro are the freight long haulers and the Japanese city to light long haulers.
NZ is quite lucky in that regards, spoilt for choice.
The vehicle market in NZ and Aus is big. There are dealerships from all over the world. Just up the street from my house are dealerships selling Kenworth, Mercedes, Isuzu, Scania and Macks! Pretty cool.
for some reason the trucks there seems to be pulling easier and better than other places/countries I've been to 🤔making those inclines look like downhill
most of these rigs got a lot of ponys
alot of these trucks are 700 + HP
All the world of lorries is in NZ. DAF, MB, HINO,SCANIA,KENWORTH,ETC...
All good rigs!
Awesome video.
As usual awesome stuff will love it 💪💪😍

My father took me over to Wellington from masterton 1945 when I was a youngster, later years I would drive it 2 or 3 times a week for business reasons , retired commercially driving it 2018 changed a lot over the years!!
Great 👍
Great video. i love to watch them. But something intrigue me. I see so many trucks carrying a lot of wood.....like in not other country....... people its not worried about deforestation,..???... mostly, if it is an island?....
we have our nature reserves that are not cut, what you are seeing here to specially planted tree for harvest, saying that i did see one truck with a real big tree on it , but in general thats how it is
@@newzealandtrucks ......thanks so much. I Appreciate that info..
Forestry blocks actually grow these trees to be harvested then re-plant trees and the cycle begins again. It's all carefully managed so there is always a supply at various stages of growth.
Anyone know the reason for the spread axles on that flatbed at about 4:00 ? To spread the weight I assume but you never see similar arrangements in Europe. Tyre wear must be horrendous as they don't seem to be steering axles. Surely can't get more than a couple of months out of the front and rear tyres they're scrubbing so much.
In New Zealand the more axles your truck has the less road user tax the company pays =)
Its a transporter trailer its spread to deal with the weight the loads that it takes.
Просто Класс!!! Привет из России.

Good job Bro,,
All the money people use on fuel to drive up and down that hill would be better spent making a tunnel so they dont have to
Cool truck 8x4 trailer truck
Nice equipment
awesome trucks choice
Wah y must they drive so fast like flying dangerous loh
Nice.
Dam not a bad area to go to..

been years since ive been over this road, used to go all the time but now i live in Queensland.
I thought they would have put a tunnel through by now
The american army offered to put one trough but the mz government rejected offer🤔
