Very interesting video, since the area is so isolated the Kalasha people must have continued some ancient practices . Anyway Punjab from Alexander’s time till even today has seen so many conflicts it is a sad story.

    Very enjoyable and entertaining.
You're right that these areas see enormous amounts of snow during January, how could have Alexander traversed then, when it's so difficult even now with all the mechanisation!
And yes, unfortunately, whatever the gora sahibs write is unfortunately taken as the gospel truth....given our inferiority complexes.
Looking forward to seeing & hearing more from you.

Exactly. Also whatever rubbish appears in our newspapers, especially Urdu ones, also becomes gospel. We need to start reading original sources and also start thinking critically.

I remember reading somewhere that they are Nuristanis in origin. When Amir Abdur Rehman invaded Nuristan towards the end of the 19th century and converted them by force, these people migrated to their present whereabouts. However, I cannot comment non the veracity of this claim.

Kos kos par pani badale, chaar kos par bani ( Language ). This is a say in Rajasthan. Even in Rajasthan itself we have several languages Marwai, Shekhawati , Hadoti etc.. , So drawing ancestory on basis of language is not a right thing.

I think most people in Pakistan are eager to link their ancestral roots to outside the subcontinent. If there were an NGO doing DNA tests of all such claimants, I'd happily donate to it. 😀

Problem is the DNA will be similar to Pakistani/ North Indian DNA. So people pretending to be Arabic or Turkic will have huge problems. I know some one with surname Shaikh originally from India had zero % Arabic DNA 😄😄
