Thank you Doctor, you have given a clear explanation about Diabetes blood glucose level tests. Here my Physician makes me do a full blood test, once a year. In private hospital here,if we are warded,lab assistant comes to the ward to collect blood otherwise if not warded we go to the Lab. Full blood test results are given after 3 days. If all is fine, I use a glucometer to test at home. A good video for some who always test glucose level before taking daily medication.

Whether the glucometers are reliable? Because i had different values at a time when tests are taken all the five fingers in both hands. C
The glucometers are reliable.Variations in values are bound to be there between different values taken during different times and fingers,between self testing and lab testing.A variation of 10-20 mg is not going to matter much or alter the treatment regimen.Buy a glucometer manufactured by a standard company.
My doctor pricriped 2 insulin one morning ,afternoon lantas, novarapid 14 -14 units, 20mins before food, lantas 24 units in night time 10pm.before breakfast and dinner 5mins istamate tablet 500mg.I want to stop this insulin. Because it's very costly. Not possible to buy this isulin. Along with this night time Ecosprin AV75.
