Cartoon Network's Fusionfall was a web based MMO that was popular when I was younger. It was a great game that featured all of the cartoon network characters from popular shows, and it was revolutionary at the time. Unfortunately, however, the game died and was forgotten about by many. In today's video we are going to be covering why and how it died.

lol dude I had the same feeling about it for years, I looked it up on google in the early months of 2018 and found it, I was jumping in my seat for months tell they released it. then in october of 2018 they pushed a massive update that added in so much more content its great.

Well be happy you can still play FusionFall. Since a small albeit dedicated team of devs have been working on two seperate versions of Fusion Fall, those being Fusion Fall Legacy and Fusion Fall Retro. Also yes they did get permission from Cartoon Network themselves for the fan project.

In the shows you only get to see the show, nothing else, it's nothing I would want to watch after many, many years. When they discover youtube they'll learn that they can find so much content like, gaming, tutorials and even educational videos.

To anyone seeing this, or anyone coming back after this takedown, know this: We, the Fusionfall community, succeeded. We succeeded in bringing back a game that was thought to be dead for years, and breathing life into it once more. So do not think of this as the end of Fusionfall forever. The Game Lives on in our thoughts, hearts and memories.

Retro can't sponsor you, as soon as they gain even a dollar form this project the are at risk of getting shut down from Cartoon Network. Honestly kudos to them, they created the entire game in spare time and can't even take donations from people for this amazing project.
How would they make money from sponsoring someone, they lose money. All the sponsorship would do is give the project a bit more attention and players.

I completely missed out on this back in the day. 2009-2010 was a rough period in my life and I had no access to my computer, but man, I was so interested in this game. So happy to see it brought back to give it a try.

Free Realms makes me honestly cry from all the memories. Lego Universe I personally felt died before it could be better, but I believe it closed because not enough people bought the membership.
Fusionfall was a good game. I came home from college during Thanksgiving and my little cause abd I were playing. I was so stoned i downloaded it for myself.

You know that Fusionfall is back right? Fans have brought back the original Fusionfall as it was back in the day, and are currently recreating it in a modern engine. Fusionfall Retro and Fusionfall Legacy. I was hoping they'd be mentioned in this video.

There is an fan remake for Lego Universe. Search Lego Universe Darkflame or LUNI.
Fusion fall retro is super active and devs are really responsive to people and fix things when they find, there are always people on, and they also do holiday events and stuff. All for free, it's pretty great.

I could never get fusionfall started. It just refused to start. So I spent years on Adventure Quest Worlds. Props to anyone who reads this and played AQW too.

Same, I actually remember grinding chores for the Animal jam and Club penguin memberships.
Moral of the story: It ran out of content, there was nothing keeping the game fun and due to budget cuts their project was doomed to fail.

The only thing I really remember from this game was accidentally hacking into someone else's account.
At one point there was a limited time event for some Ben 10 character hat for the player where all you had to do was enter your username and it would automatically log you in with the item, apparently no one tested it to make sure you couldn't just enter someone else's username and 1 typo later I was into a different account. Completely terrified by the idea that someone could just log into my account and delete everything I stopped playing.

Fusionfall was brought back though! Different people are working on it and it works wonderfully now! It can be a bit buggy at times but it's so much better now. You can tell the people who work on it now really care about the game

So short story time. When I was 6 years old back in 2009 I remember playing Fusionfall. At first I was so freaking hyped about the game, I found the concept and the story very cool, until I got stuck in a point because I had to pay, and I did not live in the United States so I stopped playing. Until one day I logged back on and I found out it was free, so I was super hyped until for some reason I eventually stopped playing. I moved to the U.S in 2012 and didn’t think about the game until 2014 when I unfortunately found out it was shut down, I was devastated but accepted the reality of it, now in 2019 at 16 and almost 17 years old I decided to look up the game again like 3 days ago only to be met with a surprise that the game was back as fans decided to bring it back, I downloaded it and haven’t stopped playing since. Thank you so much for letting me relive the happiest years of my life.
Yes someone is finally talking about it. Seems like everyone forgot. I loved Fusion Fall. It was such a brilliant concept and world. Why didn’t they make a show or movie based on this? I wish it stuck around longer. 😔

I loved Fusionfall when I played it from, I believe, 2010-2012. I don't remember why I stopped playing, and I never learned that it shut down eventually.

I’m 15 and when I was 6-8 I play monkey quest,club penguin, pirate 101, world of warcraft, fusionfall, and toon town etc.. I’d get home, eat a snack and then play , these games were so fun and entertaining. Although my mom had to deal with me crying and whining because I couldn’t pass a boss, it was still fun. If you are reading this please don’t forget these games and memories because soon we won’t have anything like this.

I never knew much about FF, but I clicked the vid to learn more, and I did. The main thing that caught my eye, though, was your username, and I thought maybe an MMO historian with that particular username might be familiar with a series called Phantasy Star whose later half of games have invariably been MMOs, and prominently feature a race of humanoid synthetics known as Casts.
I recently heard that PSO2 might be on the way out, and that's a shame, but it was never officially released outside of Japan, to my knowledge, but its predecessors still exist and have been maintained with community owned private servers.
I genuinely want an entire video talking about the lore of fusion fall. LET'S MAKE THIS HAPPEN. 😂
I played a TON of fusion fall... I spent most of my time on Clone Wars Adventure seeing as I loved the clone wars more than anyone. I was so sad seeing that it was going to be shut down in June of my 7th or 8th grade year. It destroyed me and I knew my days with my hundreds of friends were now numbered. Me being so young I lacked ways of connecting with anyone meaningful, except one. Maverick Slasher... me and him became friends early on in the games life cycle. Being before they introduced the combat system. I remember coming home every day and rushing to my parents home computer to hop on and go to my Kamino lot to talk about our days at school.
Alas the day finally came, the last day of CWA. I remember getting together with my squad and screen recording my final moments being together. Luckily my friend from earlier Maverick Slasher had a steam account. I managed to get his steam and we still chat to this day which is insane to me. A game about a decade old has produce one of the most tightly bonded friendships I’ve made online.
I know there’s an emulator out there somewhere for the game but it won’t have the same charm it did from back then. SOE has managed to create one of my most fondly remembered games and make a lifelong friendship out of it.

FusionFall was one of my most favorite games of all time and I was devastated when it was shut down. During the outbreak of covid I did my annual check on my old games, never expecting them to be alive and there it was-FusionFall Retro 😭❤️ literally just FusionFall and I’m so happy
