This just got put on BGA and I'm excited to play it after watching this video! Also it's funny to hear Alex pronounce Louisville correctly. Didn't know he was from near here!
I love the design of this game board, it looks like both cheese and pizza haha. And the design of the Wood Tokens is special and wonderful. The limited edition playmat is attractive and makes people want to get one.
Question: The rulebook on the kickstarter says that only one player can play cheese on a table in the bistro, but Alex says if they have multiple players cheese it counts as a completed table for both. Which is correct?
whoa! that's a radical change! the prototype rules we had (i read them too after playing with alex so i could play with jen) definitely made it clear that a table can be completed by multiple players! i think that's a mistake in the rulebook they've got posted, because i just checked the rules on the kickstarter page and the end where they're talking about building special powers, one of them is "Café: At game-end, score 2 Prestige Points for each completed Bistro table where you have at least 1 Cheese Token." So the cafe clearly indicates that a table can be completed by multiple people. I'm thinking that must be a mistake in the bistro section of the rules! also, the publisher watched the video and never told us that we were wrong there!
That looks quick, simple and fun for a eurogame experience. Wonderful design.
This was an excellent overview - I was confused after reading the rules and playing a game, but this really helped!
that is awesome to hear! :)
Very good explanations thank you! This game looks so fun and I LOVE the theme!
its hard not to love cheese!
I love worker placement. And I love cheese. I feel like this game gets me.
I concur!
