You are a French cheesemaker in the early 20th century making, aging, and selling your artisanal cheeses. Become the most prestigious cheesemaker in all of France by running a highly successful creamery and crafting exceptional cheese.
Fromage is a simultaneous worker-placement game where players place Workers to make cheese and gather resources from the quadrant of the board facing them. Once all players have placed their Workers, the board rotates, aging any cheese that was made, and presenting each player with a new quadrant to place Workers into. Score Prestige Points by selling cheese to the four locations, and by efficiently managing and upgrading your creamery.

5.0 - My absolutely favorite games. You can pry them out of my cold dead hands.
4.5 - Love this game! At the same time missing something that would make it a 5. Could be hard to table, lacking variability, a little light, etc.
4.0 - Really great game, almost always keeping, although has meaningful complaints as to what takes away from the experience.
3.5 - Really enjoyed, don't love it, may lose out to better games but the idea of never playing again is a bit sad.
3.0 - A good game, would play and suggest with the right people, if I never played it again wouldn't lose any sleep.
2.5 - A game I'd play again , but will never suggest it myself
2.0 - A game I don't want to play again
1.5 - A game I can't find any reason to recommend
1.0 - A game that is just bad.

Was kinda interested in this game, but now I am on a fence. Seems game will have similar ways to victory in game to game.
Keep an eye on the comments on the campaign, the designer is taking loads of ideas on that may end up as stretch goals.
I would've backed this game if it wasn't for the way R2i treated me. I will never understand why.

@@BoardGameCo - In one of their previous Kickstarters, some people came after the developers in a nasty way. Stupid me came to R2i's defense. I commented that the comments were unnecessary and called for maturity.
To my shock, R2i came after *_me_* instead of those who were insulting them. They even tried to get me banned for life from backing any future Kickstarter project.
Needless to say, after investigation, Kickstarter sided with me. I still can't believe what happened, and I will never back an R2i project again.
I didn't know where else to post this but I got to say it's weird that go on board is using it your review of the game they're trying to sell right now and at the same time they are using your crowdfunding platform. Not cool.
Appreciate this; unfortunately I didn't realize they were going to combine the video they did. I try to disclaim whenever there is a conflict of interest but as I didn't put together that video they did, I didnt' realize they were presenting it that way.
Modern games just keep getting sillier and sillier, and more ridiculous in an effort to sell bits of plastic, wood and cardboard. I guess thats because actual good games are really hard to design and as a designer, your lucky to have 1 or 2 masterpieces under your belt in your lifetime. Even Uwe Rosenburg, for example, while he has a bunch of okay games he has only 1 true magnum opus, and that's Agricola. Most modern board games have been reduced to little meaningless efficiency puzzles involving a bunch of meaningless actions with a thin theme pasted on and gimmicks like a lazy-Susan for those folks that get seduced by the shiny that need to have every game that comes out.
Add to this that Agricola is pure crap.

Fair enough, and I do relate, but I could say the same* about video games, mobile games, books, films, TV shows, songs, cars, or electronic consumer goods - a constant stream of new releases which and mostly doing much the same job as previous items/media. Humans, or modern 'first world' humans at least, seem to have an endless appetite for 'new'. (*A caveat: board games also have a strong collectable element - the 'shelf of shame' - and not all of those other things do.)

There are no other fanboys that get more offended by someone saying the slightest negative thing about a game, than Agricola's.
It does make sense when it's from someone who went on a rant because he believes that the reason why gamers who might have a different taste is because they are "easily seduced."
