So the furnace doesn't have a blower or fan? You said you can dry camp and have heat. In my Lance truck camper, the furnace fan uses too much electricity to run it dry camping. Had to use a Mr. Buddy Heater to have any heat.
Way too much work for the bed, trust me, I know. You need to work on that. I have a 2022 and the big table is a hassle too. Trying to figure how to make it better myself.
My first mod was taking one of the planks, and cutting out a notch to fit around that table stand. Having a custom cushion made to fit the area of the planks only. Just me and the dog, so plenty of bed with 75x48 inches, and a place for two to sit at the table. Just swivel the table out of the way at sleepy time. If I wanted, I can still utilize the original design of breaking down the table to create full Queen size.
the pulldown portion of the shade that he calls the day shade is your insect screen. It is a bit loose on the sides because it needs to slide in the track so some bugs could sneak in- but they work for the most part. All trailers with the more popular lexan push up awning windows have those shade/screen combos. You can pull down all white shade or have all day-screen_shade or part of each . They clip together tightly. I have the original mini max. This FX version fixed most of the dislikes in the design. They replaced tiny 9 gallon black tank with a 30. They added a pulldown sink to bathroom (no more having to use kitchen sink). They stretched the rig by 4 inches (and made up for it by 4 inches narrower to keep same weight roughly) So you sleep northsouth instead of sideways. Now if you dont want to make that evil conversion bed up every night you can sleep as two twin beds with your sleeping bags. (cant in earlier version is too short in that direction.) They moved the microwave to better spot, expanded kitchen cabinets and added bit more storage . Lastly looks like they made the raised suspension rough rider option a standard in this model for high ground clearance. They made it an inch or so taller but is still too short for anyone over 6 feet like this kid must be. Great improvements. I would not buy the original mini max RR option now, i'd get this FX. All told if you want small, very light weight, high ground clearance and able to run everything on 12v battery or propane (except the AC and microwave) this new mini fx version is the best you will find. You would need to step up alot in size/weight to find models with a dry bath and/or separate bed from dinette. This rv is not 4 season insulated but this is very off-grid capable. It's the nicest build quality, most functional unit i know of in this very small weight class.
@@fredmoore1405 thanks for that info... I like those modifications ALOT, basically makes it almost perfect for my needs. Here's what else I would do... 1. Swap the stock batt for a 200ah lithium battery 2. On the non bathroom side bench seat, nudge it out by a few inches, add a 25" wide topper to it lengthwise and that becomes your permanent bed. 3. On the bathroom side toward the sloped end of the bench seat (where no one can sit), build up an extra shelving/storage system.

Did not like the bed system. Very hard . They should have a pull rack on the side
