He was class both games tbf wasn’t he!
Matty Cash actually got an 8.0 on Sofascore, the highest just in front of Lucas Chevalier at 7.9. Martinez got 7.3
Think that’s purely due to the goal, didn’t think he done well for large portions of the game! What do you think?
@@LetsTalkVilla it’s the way Lille played. Remember they had a week to study Villa. I got the tip from Coop-de-Villa (Australian) They left Pau but stiffened Cash and Konsa with the pressing to enforce errors so strangle service to the midfield/attack. Don’t forget Cash has just come back from an injury so this was his warmup match, however he positioned himself correctly to score the 87min goal that kept us in it.
That’s fair but we know Emery plans for each game in a lot of detail, I’ll take nothing away from Lille they were fantastic, I just thought that Konsa was the stand out as he make one of the most sought after strikers in Europe look average lol!
@@LetsTalkVillathe biggest takeaway is that the stadium was a cauldron and the players had to endure 120 mins of 'hell'. Lille actually play like a Champions League team. To win a penalty shootout in front of their hostile ultras will give the Villa players a lot of belief and experience and how European away days are something extra. Love your content. UTV
It was a character test for the lot of them and I’m glad we got it! We’ve been questionable in high pressure scenarios but smashed it after going 2 down! Leon Bailey telling the players we had time was class! Thanks mate, more to come! UTV 🦁
