Yes, you CAN wear em out at the wing wall, the earlier the better, and even catch some walleye real early. My wife and I average 30 in 90 mins, and I am lucky enough to have a super powerful *80lb) spot lock trolling motor. But moving, especially 2 hours after sunrise is necessary to keep catching em. Wife loves catching em, to the point we started selling them.

Skipjack shad are in the herring family. They are oily like other shad/herring thus great for bait. Some are anadromous (migrate from salt water to fresh) and some live in fresh water all their lives. They do prefer slightly brackish water with current. They are eatable but most people find them hard to clean, bony, and oily like a sardine

Dave you ever put catfish slime on open cuts to heal them faster, old timers antibiotic sav. Will completely heal in 3 days instead 10 days time, maybe its folklore ? But maybe you would know since you handle so many.

You make catching skipjack look easy, I threw for a couple hrs today and caught 1 half the size of the ones you got. Have you ever fished in AR? There are supposed to be some big ones here but I haven't seen any caught on bait, I have seen some big ones caught snagging but I don't consider that fishing. Good video, keep them coming.
