  • I had noticed that the Felder wasn't cutting as well as it used to and there was excessive movement of the blade when cutting so did a quick little tune up and some maintenance on the FB510.
So pleased with this saw one of the strongest workshop purchases to date.
Hope you enjoy and if you do like and subscribe or if not then tell me why not.

Hi, last week I also got my FB 510. Yesterday I tried to get it working. Unfortunately, every time, the tires (green ones like yours) come off the wheels. Have you perhaps had a similar problem? Were the rubbers at your place glued to the wheels?

Hi, no I didn’t have this problem for me they have not been any sort of problem. I did read about something similar to this on older machines that had a defect in the tyres which felder replaced on request. Is the machine new or old? If it’s old would contact them for a replacement set. They were too loose from memory which would give the same issue you’re seeing. I think they are friction fit not glued on. Hope you get it sorted soon as the bandsaw is an awesome bit of kit when it’s set up. Mark

Not sure that Felder could address that design fault. Did they manufacture that machine ?

The machine was brought direct from felder not sure if they build in house or sub contract the metal fab out and then assemble in Austria either way moving the hole should be a easy change should they choose to take the advice

@@woodworkgeek there is a view that this machine is badged.

Could be I have read a number of differing views and so could be built out of Italy or Asian country or just be parts brought into Austria to assemble I don’t know for certain what I can say if they are solidly built and perform way above the needs I have and other than the location ok the foot which was hitting the door have been spot on
