there is this "strategy" of taking your time so as not to show the strength or weakness of a hand but the tendency is for that time period to become long as a quick decision is always being hidden

It isn't even so much the time spent...it's when the player becomes a statue ... but even that is preferable to some motormouth blabbing for minutes on end...

Playing 10-3 on final table with a dead flop drop is not a good way to play final table; unless you know the other is drawing nothing. But A-Q-9 is in the range of many hands final tables would play.
you are a much worse player than young and don't understand how ICM implications of a various stack sizes affects ranges. The reason you balance you have bluffs in the first place is to balance your range, otherwise no one would pay off your value bets. This is how he got called by king high.
