I've had acne since the very beginning of 6th grade. It was always something people commented on and pointed out. My acne made me miserable, and anytime I would look in the mirror I would just be staring for SO LONG.I'm 14 now, and I've been on Accutane for almost 3 months! I've had to unlearn my habits from having acne. Acne kept me from doing so much things, now I feel like I can do anything that its mainly scars at the moment. Love ya man, this is honestly almost the same way I saw and cared for my acne. Thank you.

Thank you so much for posting this. As someone who struggled with acne like crazy throughout hs (literally hated myself bc of it in 9th and 10th grade), this is very special to me. I remember at the time, I would change my sheets and pillow case every night, was on antibiotics, pills, face washes, creams, moisturizers, cut out dairy and sugar from my diet, never touched my face, avoided sweating ETC. still didn't go away. I was called crazy and eventually went on accurate and I still keep most of those habits tp this day even though my skin is clear. But the habits having acne taught me allowed my obsession to transfer into getting perfect grades at university ETC. Everything happens for a reason and hard time create strong men. So anybody struggling with acne, do not give up, nobody understands the true struggle unless they have lived through it and I wish you the best of luck for the future, it will make you a better person bc trust me ive been called it all "bacteria", "pimples", "acne", "fire face", "volcano face" Etc. and people who called me that have asked me years later how I keep my skin so perfect, so it will get better!

1-stop washing face with products just use water.
2-apply a gentles moisturiser with no harsh ingredients.
3-make sure ur changing ur pillow chases every 2 days.

That being said, I do totally hear ya. I started losing my hair in my early 20s, which really sucked. I fortunately look pretty good with a buzzed head, but you can imagine how I felt. I was your age currently, so I was still a kid mentally dealing with that. I did survive without acne though, so there's that lol

How’d you get rid of it
@@The-suit-guy went to a dermatoligist, got prescribed medication that I took twice a day, along with benzol peroxide morning & night after a hot wash on my face with air dry. Also fixed up my diet, by removing chips (because of seed oils) and sugary drinks/food (soda, ice cream, etc.) it really helped clear my skin. Of course, now, I still have some small pimples here and there, but dude when I tell you that you couldn't go half an inch anywhere on my face without having a pimple, I mean it. Now I have some scars and discoloration, but man I'm so grateful I overcame it. Acne comes with a lot of insecurity.
As a kid who struggles with severe acne this really helped me to feel more comfortable in my own body so thank you baylen

I feel like this video is legit a sign. I’ve been dealing with acne since the beginning of high school and it finally went away during my entire senior year and I felt as if I was on top of the world. I looked good and just had so much confidence that I never had before. But I’m now a freshman in college and I broke out severely during the summer of my senior year. My skin is currently the worst it has ever been and I’m now on medication and I look at myself every day and feel terrible. Thank you so much for this video because it’s literally everything I’m feeling right now and I feel like I’m doing my best and I’ve been going out less. As I heard you tell your story I now know that it’s only up to me to decide how I handle the situation at hand so thank you so much Baylen. Please simplify your routine if it is complex. Using different products all the time will keep your skin out of wack so consistency with simplicity is best. what worked for me was simply cold rinse water morning, soothing serum, then a aloe sunscreen moisturize. Gentle cleanser nightime, soothing serum, then la roshe moisturizer with a tiny bit of la roshe adapalene gel mixed together so not as aggresive. Vaseline for lips. Also eating poorly, getting bad sleep, and stress will worsen the problems so make sure to keep them in mind. Hope this can help someone.
@@jackhalsey3870 very very very very true. mine started off small/mediocre, i started freaking out about it and went to the store to go buy some completely random acne products as long as they advertised that they "help acne". i was using like 3 products. after i started using those products i broke out horribly. i found some advice like you said, to simplify my routine, and after that i noticed it started getting slowly better. so i switched to just using a CeraVe Hydrating Facial Cleanser, Curology formula, and a CeraVe moisturizer. for me, thats all i need but im assuming its different for everyone. curology also didnt make me break out it just started immediately helping. acne is so so so horrible and it made me feel like garbage, baylen described it perfectly. and YES the diet. the dietttt bro. once i started eating healthy like VERY STRICTLY healthy, it accelerated my treatment so much. my acne was getting better faster because of having a good diet.

this means a lot bc every single one of my friends has clear skin , its great to see smbdy else with acne and who has been through it. you’ll see people through a whole fit over one pimple and then you start to think that if they think that looks bad what does mine look like. people who have had clear skin their whole life don’t get the mental state it puts you through. my friends tend to point it out too, literally td i had one of my friends say that i was breaking out really bad it just hurts to see someone you love and trust point out your biggest insecurity.
It’s insane I’m older than Baylen but I’m still learning from him and inspires me to be confident with myself. Going out to talk to people, not just for my sake but also to make them smile.

Thanks Baylen for making this video. I took my son to see you for his 13th bday. He’s been struggling with acne and bullying. 7th grade has been a nightmare. As a parent it’s hard to watch him being treated like that. From kids putting crap in his lunch, to purposely hurting him at football practice. Dislocated his shoulder and tore his labrum.

I went through about 3-4 years with terrible acne in high school and got called names. My favorite part was being able to go home so no one saw me. I was cool with everyone but some people didn’t realize how much those comments hurt, especially when I was doing everything to try and get rid of it. I used to have very clear skin in middle school to the first two years of high school until Covid hit. I was relatively attractive and girls around me would usually compliment me and crush on me. Staying inside and not doing the regular healthy activities I did and losing motivation caused an acne breakout that got so horrible in my Junior year of high school and my confidence was at an all time low. Of course, I had some people make fun of my acne. Right now, as a freshman in college, my acne has gotten only a bit better and I'm still struggling but I've seen progress and improvement to feel hopeful.

Dear Baylen. I really would like to thank you for posting this, it truly is making me see a different side. I’m very self conscious and I care about what everyone thinks, and acne doesn’t help. Over the summer my acne got so bad to the point where I was embarrassed to go out without makeup or just embarrassed to go in general. Now I am taking better care of my skin and it’s getting much better. This video is really helping me, and definitely gave me more of a boost in self confidence

Meanwhile, I’ve tried a million different skincare routines and nothing works. It’s so mentally draining. Thank you for talking about this Baylen..I’m 18 and I’ve been sitting with the same acne on my cheeks for the past 2 years they go away and come back the whole time they are sitting deep under my skin so it’s not that easy to take care of them because they dont go away..I love taking care of myself doing selfcare and doing all those things but seeing no difference In my skin..Me and my parents been having an argument about my skin a lot of times they don’t understand how it feels to go to bed and wake up hoping that your skin is more clear than the day before but still no difference..Using products and products but it doesn’t help getting on medication for 3 months but don’t see a difference..Washing your pillowcases every day and making sure my bedsheets is clean,not touching my face with dirty hands,making sure my phone doesn’t touch my face,drinking only water..Being constantly insecure when talking to people that they might notice how bad my skin is not wanting to be in pictures,ignoring every mirror you see or walk past,ignoring bright sunlight,super bright lights wanting to cover it all up so people can’t see it..Being scared that once they go away they will come back it’s really not easy but some people don’t understand how bad acne can mess up your mental health making you insecure and changing you into a different person..I’m posting this and hopefully one day when my skin is clear and how I want it to be I can reply back to my own comment to remind myself what I’ve been through😊

Everything has something like he said, for him it was being skinny and having adhd but he owned it and he loved himself, which he said in the video and says to do that which he says it’s a better way to live, saying you can’t be perfect, saying that the people that own themselves are the coolest, also saying that your gonna go down a rabbit hole shit if you start trying to fix every little thing about you and compare yourself or whatever, you’re you love yourself, always better yourself like he said and also saying that he was always working on it and it went away for him and like he said everything works out in the end, and for him even sometimes he sees tik tok of him with acne and the girls are in the comments saying why does acne low key look good, like he said nothing matters, it’s just the confidence and to really teach yourself it. In general like he said he wanted to talk about struggles and this was one of them and finishing it off with him saying that he was really loving himself and feeling like his going in a super positive direction and saying that he feels good about everything. In one of the timestamps of the video 9:37 he says that he accomplished all he did with it and then he let it freak him up after he already had seen that you can accomplish things with acne, so if he could go back in time when it came back he wished that he didn’t care and wish it didn’t slow him down and was not so hard on himself, so don’t let it affect you not just acne but anything in life which he also said. And like he said once you start fixating on something you see it, also saying that in the past in his teens from day one if he cared about his acne to which he didn’t because he didn’t care about it, but if he did he wouldn’t have been filming and he wouldn’t have become successful to which he is very glad that he didn’t care back then which is like he said the best mindset you can have, and later on when it came back he didn’t want to talk about it during those hard moments until it was gone but he regrets it now and didn’t talk about it because he felt it was best but everything happens for a reason and here he is now talking about it which is all that matters. So from the video and in general these were the things that he said in the video and these things he said were true and it happens it even happened to me but I’m doing better and I also feel inspired from this video. I hope you feel better, and thanks to anyone for reading this and I hope everyone else who is going through these rough times get better, and also try connecting with God like reading the bible and praying and try getting closer with him more and more, which me reading the bible and praying to him and getting closer to him helped me. I just wanna thank you baylen beacuse I have the same struggle rn I currently dealing with so much acne like you have no idea I had tried accutane because nothing was working and slowly it made my skin so clear and I was so happy I dint have it anymore and slowly the acne started to come back and I fell into massive depression about it and I had to take accutane for a second time and it helped it cleared my skin again but I been off accutane for a year and I started getting acne again and nothing is working and it just suck because I feel so insecure about it but I just wanna thank you for making me feel comfortable and helping me with my insecurity but hopefully you read this and keep doing videos you really make my day thank you and to anyone reading this

Im 15, I had that feeling waking up and seeing a new breakout almost every day and nothing was getting rid of it no matter how good my face routine was, no medications working, and for a year straight I've been dealing with it and it just starting clearing up almost completely and im so fucking glad im not alone. thank you for this. as a a girl I have spent sooo much money on makeup and products to make myself look like the other girls. I am now 20 and it has gotten so much better but I still have times where I have a sudden breakout and feel like crap. this made me not feel alone. This video help a lot I used to not have acne and never had to worry about and also be the type of kid to not understand acne and ask people why they care or why don’t you wash your face and then at the end of my freshman year I started to get acne and at the beginning it was bad and no one pointed it out so it really didn’t affect me but then one day after I shaved with a clean razor same full shave routine I’ve been doing it got worse and there’s was a decent amount before and it got really irritated and it was in like a beard shape and there was still some on my forehead just not as worse but after I was just scrolling through old pictures I was starting to grow an insecurity of it so bad. And now im a sophomore still dealing with acne I’ve done everything and I just started acutane I’m on day 6 and I don’t see a big difference other than dryness of course and my acne still is there it’s just less red and angry looking so I hoping this is the thing out of everything I’ve tried that will fix this insecurity but this video really helped because people say “you realize more than other people” and this kinda showed me that.
I had massive acne cysts around 2020 and i went through every laser and cortisone but nothing truly worked, I went on accutane for a 2 years and it worked but the side effects to my body wasn’t worth it. Back pain, over sleeping, headaches and depression. So I went of the medication and everything seemed okay, only for it to come back a few months later which is currently. Right now i get small clusters of pimples but nothing like I used to have, I hope for the day I get clear skin. This video really helped me in the scheme of confidence. Im not sure if you still read all your comments baylen but I just want to say how much this video affected me in a positive way. I’m on my last month of accutane after having an EXTREME case of acne even going as far where I would get a reoccurring big ass pimple on my nose. I had gotten so insecure with myself to the point where I would skip school and wear a hoodie and hat at all times I would wonder why did I out of all people get this horrible acne. At times I would absolutely hate the way I look and it would suck because I would see a cute girl but know I had 0 chance with her because of something I can’t control, it really did eat me up inside but now after my face has cleared up extremely well I’m so grateful for all the people who stuck with me when I looked my worst. I still have scarring and my face is kinda red but now I don’t wear a hat or hood anymore, I don’t skip school anymore, I don’t wake up and absolutely hate myself anymore. I really do think many people don’t understand the mindset of people with acne and how it really makes them hate themselves. I really do appreciate the way you expressed dealing with acne this really made me feel more accepting of myself and I hope everyone who deals with acne can see this video because of how much it positively affected me. It makes me feel so happy that I can relate to someone I look up to and I appreciate you a lot more than I already did. Long story short I just want to say thank you so much baylen Levine for changing my point of view on my life with this video I don’t think I’ll ever forget about this video for the rest of my life and I hope I can help people who are struggling with acne. I’ve been a fan for almost 5 years now I’m currently a sophomore in HS and I won’t lie I teared up a bit writing this so I really do hope you read this or if anyone else is reading this I want you to not let your appearances define you as a person but let your actions and motives define who you are as a person.
