The performance of the Absolu is a beast, I testedit on spring season and was a totally different experience, really liked it. But the Profumo is a winner absolutley!

Absolu is severely underrated. One of my favorite scents. For those one the fence, I do think "a mix between One Million & Invictus" is a very good comparison. Just smells great!
I went to the mall and smelt the absolu . i sprayed it on my skin after it settled was the best cologne i have ever smelt. Definetly gonna grab it

I agree, Absolut is my second favorite after Pour Homme. Profumo smells like an old man for my taste, too peppery which recedes the dominating fresh scent away from the unique DNA that smells like the ocean, which makes it smell too spicy and antiquated, not modern, sophisticated, and deliciously fresh IMO.
Absolu is absolutely my favorite Acqua Di Gio ! And i must say it's quite a compliment getter as well
Agreed. I have Profumo, have had the original and by far my favorite is Absolu. It is the perfect cozy date night scent that is very intimate and is going to have your date leaning in. My girlfriend cannot get enough of this one lol.
For me, since two years ago, Profumo is my favorite marine and nocturnal fragrance. 👌🏻👌🏻

To be honest I do like the smell of them all but I would say Profumo is my favorite. I think they all smell good in my opinion, I would totally spray the original anyday, it's so pleasing to me. I do like absolu but just never added it to my collection but I almost liked it enough to buy it. I would totally buy Profumo over them all.
The Original ADG and Absolu were my first fragrances I ever bought, in Father’s Day gift packs. Both are amazing, still have a bit of Absolu left and save it for special occasions.
Profondo is the farthest thing from Dior Sauvage lol.. I think most would agree with that. It might smell good layered with it, but the scents are on way different wave lengths and styles.
Personally, I feel she might have used a different perfume. I have all the flankers and Profundo is the worst performer and only good for summers.
No where close to savauge, no pepper note added to Profondo which is extremely prominent in savauge
To me Profondo is a softer, younger Percival. I like it, while I'm not a big fan of Sauvage.
Sauvage is old news. Everyone wears it. Played out....
Scott Kelly Not sure why Savauge gets so much positive feedback. I wear it and nothing but negative comments. My partner loves Johnny Depp but hates when i put on Savauge. She goes nuts over Hot Water by Davidoff. I know, crazy right.

I get it when you say Profondo is boring, but for me, as someone who has a very small collection, it's just perfect. I don't own Sauvage but I own Luna Rossa Carbon, and I think it's OK to have both. As for Absolu, it lasts and projects LOADS on my skin. I have yet to try Profumo and the og.
Love the Profumo get mad compliments with it. Still want to buy the Profundo I smelled it at Dillard’s didn’t really like it but I didn’t like Profumo at first till I started wearing it.

Thank you alot. I couldnt go shopping because of the corona lockdown and i needed to know which one smells the best, but still has the "dna" of the original one.
Absolu lasts extremely long on me. I can still smell it on my skin after more than 12 hours
Chris Spain honestly I’ve had the same experience with the regular one. After a long day I’ll think it’s gone and I lie down in bed and I can smell it, it smells the best like that
same. It lasts very long. But i really dont like the scent of it tho

Profondo is the best flanker of Original ADG in my opinion. After Essenza
I own Profondo and it smelled nothing like Dior Sauvage imo

Came here to say the same thing. I own both, they do not smell the same.
Remember these are fragrance snobs. Take their reviews with a grain of salt. It is their opinion at the end, but I think Profondo is great, bought a backup bottle in case of reformulations.
Josephine is great, but she's a snob and a bit biased towards darker scents because her taste is just superior at this point, so all these blue generic fragrances won't impress her, which is understandable. However, people are not into fragrances that are hard to like.
Absolutely no comparison whatsoever . Profondo is best .

Been wearing Acqua Di Gio Profumo by Giorgio Armani for last two years and it's the best I had. It's my all time favorite and got the most compliments wearing it. I occasionally wear Versace tho but not often.
I agree, personally I used Acqua di Gio original for 15 year, in spite look for a replacement, what happens when I found AG Profumo, It is all you said.

got the same on profondo... first thought was „boring“ but it gets interessting and pleasing. and i think the scent bubble smells better than if you smell it directly on your skin
The original Acqua di Gio seemed to last all day on me. I did also spray a tiny bit on my clothes. Just ordered a new bottle, they better not have changed the formula! I am intrigued by Profumo version as I like incense and patchouli. Going to try it. Thanks for the advice.

Profondo lasts on my cloths for a week, literally. And the dry down smells exactly like ADG essenza. The opening is kinda off putting but the dry down is the best out of all of them in terms of keeping in line with the ADG dna.
My favourite is still AdG Profumo, but i had a sample of the Absolu, and is surprinsingly good in a night club ocasion.
Josephine is just stunning.
As for ADG line, Profumo is the best closely follow by Profundo.

No question. In our hot climate, Profumo is reeks old man smell.
You should do a review on the Nautica line up. I like the Nautica Voyage N-83 it really smells good and even better after it dries.
I love and own Profumo and the OG. I have tried Absolu and enjoy it but it does smell a lot like other Invictus DNA fragrances. I still need to get my nose on Profondo.

I love this woman, she's so authentic and senstivie about being honest, greetings from poland, keep up good content. Maybe try new 2022 adg its ok imo 50 % old dna and 50 % essenza. Smells good but nothing ground braking

I own most of the line and absolute is by far my most complimented by women and it lasts 10 or 12 hours on my skin by far the longest of any of the line. Profondo is my favorite although I can't hardly smell it after 2 hours, it kind of dries down to a clean skin scent, but I still get complimented on it four or five hours in so apparently it's leaving a scent trail, and I don't find it remotely close to Dior sauvage.
Acqua Di Gio Essenza by far is the best flanker of the line!
Why they would discontinue it is beyond me. Thank God I purchased enough backup bottles to last me a lifetime. 👍🏾🇦🇺
Except old batches will get oxidized over time. You should get profondo, the dry down is exactly like Essenza. I have both and I can’t tell the difference in the drydown.
I have essenza, it’s good but I’m not super omg about it. I think Profumo is better tbh

Absolu for the win. May be a bit synthetic but performance is OUTSTANDING and ladies love it.
I have AdG Profundo and the original, I've tested Profundo and prefere by far Profundo. In my small collection is the best all around perfume I own. Love it, it has character, dimension, masculinity, just my cup of tee.
Out of the Acqua Di Gio line, the Profumo is the one I own and it's amazing. It's such a masculine, dark yet keeping that freshness and it's a compliment magnet. The best in the line imho. I agree with you 100%!

Do they perform better in the spring/summer because I've got Profumo, and it doesn't make it past an hour and a half on me?

Hi Jus, not tried the absolute or original but likewise was a bit puzzled by the profundo when I got a sample wasn’t exciting but had some redeeming qualities throughout but not enough to get a bottle for me...I did however get the Profumo and it’s a staple classics for a reason...and my wife commented on first wear too and really likes it...thanks Jus, big lv X

AQdG Profumo was one of the first fragances in my collection... and that day I still have very present was when I smelled Pegasus 😳😞 and that would be the last time 😒😅. AQdG Profumo has an amazing performance I wear it afternoon and nights, not much right now for the covid situation, but is one the most perfect fragances ever made for summer nights and works for other seasons of the year.
Absolu will last for more than a day. The woody smell is what I like. Didn't regret buying one bit.
The original Acqua di Gio is still my favorite, so fresh and everyday wear.
Profundo is tops according female audience who rated it on the streets against several others. Also depends on skin and natural maxculine scent, i suggest spray a teste on your wrist and smell it upon first spray and then about 30 min later. Good channel bravo!

Lovely video, Josephine! I have ADG Profundo, and I agree with you completely on it. In the dry down, it rounds out and becomes smoother. It’s definitely a modern take on the original, any occasion, and definitely has the legs for colder weather. On me, it’ll last til the next day and it’ll stay on my shirt til I wash it. However, ADG Profondo smelled like tiger balm when I first sniffed it a couple of years ago from the bottle so I overlooked it. Think I should give it another chance and test it?

I think it's a classy fragrance, it's smells very good but doesn't have as much sensuality as say La Nuit de l'Homme :)

only have Profundo because I was lazy when reading the description of my purchase, and did not know about Profondo until after I had made the purchase.
I decided not to cancel the order, and my curiosity won me over.
I DO like this scent and though Profumo is my favorite, i think they both have a place in my collection.
If i may, to those who want to buy themselves Acqua Di Gio Profumo, keep in mind that there have been reformulations as of somewhere around 2020. I recommend holding out for a batch from 2015-2019.
I just bought a Profumo replacement when mine ran out, (2022 batch) and the first thing I noticed was a much weaker scent coming off of the atomizer. Literally my EMPTY bottle lets off a stronger scent than the new one after a test spray.
I was lucky enough to find a brand new 2015 batch on eBay.

I disagree about Absolu. The dry down is nicer than the opening but I like it. Have worn it to work many times in warmer weather and works well. Very pleasant and unoffensive once it's dried down as it balances out a bit and isn't THAT sweet. I get decent longevity too. It's all subjective tho 😊
Agree with you the drydown is better... ultimately you gotta wear what makes you happy!
Profundo is nothing like Sauvage... but I do agree that the opening is not good. But after about 10 minutes it really shines with so much complexity.
Great review, but what about esenza?
The only problem I've found with my Profumo, is that it fades in an hour. I don't go nose blind to it because Ive asked othera to smell my shirt and wrist and "it very feint but nice" like uhhh nah when I spray it it's heavenly but after just a bit it dies. Idk 🤷♂️
What about essenza and absolu instinct?

As a “maturing” man, ADG original was my go to fragrance for so many years. In fact I still use it today and Is in my top 10. That being said Profumo is now top 3 or 4 with Tom Ford Tobacco Vanille, Spice bomb Extreme, and Alexandria Arabian Forest (Creed Spice and Wood clone).

My fav all time will be alwyas ADG Profumo! A very good fragrance, a very solid flanker!
I have owned all these and even though the OG has a special place in my ❤, Profumo is the best in the line IMO.
