  • Here's an overview of my green 2022 Kawasaki Mule Pro MX EPS. I've included my likes, dislikes, pros, and cons. Why did I choose the Mule over the Polaris Ranger SP 570 and the Kubota RTV-XG850 Sidekick? Mostly, it was due to the size of the PRO MX. Also, it was in stock.

    When I worked at the mine up until a couple of years ago, they had 2 side by sides that they used. Kubota and Kawasaki. When we went to Colorado on vacation and hit the Jeep trails, the mines used 2 vehicles. Kubota and Kawasaki. There has to be a reason that these 2 are the first choice. It appears to be a slug out between these 2.

    The Halogen lights are good in snow because they will heat up and help melt snow off the lights. The LED lights do not produce enough heat to be effective with snow and ice but are good for night driving when snow is not an issue.

    Great review Ed...now I want one! My assumption on the two different types of headlights is possibly related to winter usage...the halogen bulbs will get hot, ergo snow and ice will not accumulate, where the LEDs have no heat and can become covered with snow. That's my hypothesis anyway! As always, tons of great shots and an excellent edit. Love the music and the throwback to you old Datsun (Toyota/Luv?) truck video!

    It looks like a nice vehicle. I like the bench seat and the way it’s easy to get in and out of. To me these features are needed for these vehicles. We have a Clubcar Carryall 295 which is similar in a lot of ways. It does not have many of features the Kawasaki has. The main point of differentiation is our Clubcar is powered by a 3 cylinder Kubota Diesel engine.

    Great info! I bought a unit identical to yours in October 2019. I wholeheartedly agree that the green decals on the doors are a huge disappointment. Mine have big bubbles in them. I'll probably get my heat gun out and try to "fix" the issue. If I fail, then I'll simply remove them. My other pet peeve is the taillights are on all the time...I can't stand this feature. I'd love if they only came on when I turned the headlights on. And finally, the two inch receiver hitch on mine gets narrower the further you go into the opening. Needless to say getting a draw bar in and out can be challenging. Other than that, I love its size and features!

    • @MyClutteredGarage
      @MyClutteredGarage  Před 2 lety +1

      Hi Matt. I actually peeled the door decals off already. I kind of like it better. I don’t mind the tail lights, but I bet a skilled person could reword them the way you like. That loud whinning sound when you drive. Does it sounds like the transmission is at high rpms and needs to change? I ask because thats how mine is, i just bought it and was making sure thats normal! Haha...

    The permanently locked rear differential in my Yamaha Rhino was my #1 major complaint with it, as well as the dump bed's lack of capability to actually dump if you had more than about 100 pounds in it. The bed size being so small would make the Kawasaki kind of limited in its cargo capacity. A full size machine probably would handle a regular size pallet which would be something I'd find useful...I gave up with ATVs and UTVs because of all the size limitations, and the ridiculous prices, doesn't matter what brand you look at they're extremely expensive for no more than what you get. I'm looking into a Daihatsu or similar 4WD mini-truck...for the cost of them you get a cab with a heater at a minimum, some have AC as well. The model I was looking at getting also has a hydraulic dump bed, and locking rear differential. A much more practical unit, and if I recall a 55 or 65mph top speed.

      @@MyClutteredGarage You bought a UTV, you obviously have plenty of property to play with a mini truck ;). I only have an acre I'd love a mini-truck with a hydraulic dump bed, would save a lot of back and forth with the tractor

    Wait until you have a fifty pound box of fencing staples and you go up a hill and it slides to the back in one of those single handle tailgates. You get to play pickup for hours.

      @@MyClutteredGarage I purchased a 2018 Kawasaki Mule 4010. After about a years use, it began stalling when at idle. I took it to the dealer I bought it from and they fixed the problem for about 3 months. Then it began doing it again. I took it to my small engine repair guy and he fixed it. He told me this problem was common to this machine. 3 months later it was back to stalling. It has something to do with the throttle body fouling. I have seen CZcams videos and visited forums where people are having the same problem. Kawasaki knows about this problem but have not developed a cure nor have they recalled the machine. So I am stuck with a defective product that can't be fixed. I will never buy another Kawasaki product and am trying to warn others to beware of Kawasaki side by sides. I am going to bite the bullet and buy a Kubota utility vehicle because I know people who have used them without any problems..Kawasaki has a culture problem that allows them to sell defective products to people.

    Will repeat the kudos for yor review. Fyi, I've heard that that "3rd party" who makes the engine is Chinese. While that may be good enough for Kawasaki, I'm not sure that it's good enough for me.
