TRX Back to Basics: Setting Up Your Suspension Trainer

- TRX Back to Basics: Now that we have our straps, let's get our #SuspensionTrainer all set up. As a rule of thumb, your straps should be anchored 7-9 feet off the ground.
First, we're walking through how to set up your suspension trainer using a door anchor.
1️⃣ Grab your door anchor
2️⃣ Take your suspension trainer and loop the carabiner through the door anchor
3️⃣ Place the "pillow" over the top of your door and close the door
Next, we'll go through setting up for TRX over a beam.
1️⃣ Grab your suspension anchor
2️⃣ Toss your suspension anchor over the beam and cross over a few items
3️⃣ Clip in your suspension trainer to the bottom loop on your suspension anchor

The extender and the suspension anchor seem to be doing exactly the same thing. Is there any situation in which you would prefer one over the other?

TRX should come with a ceiling or wall mount.

Any benefit to allowing the band to "slip" through the carabiner, like you did on the right one, as opposed to locking the carabiner through one of the sewn-in loops?
absolutely, what he did is a friction 'knot' .. if you utilize the loops then you are placing more strain on the sewn in part, unnecessarily. Nothing wrong with that, just more wear and tear that could be avoided.

seriously I can't believe that you can't be bothered to set it up on a real door, because a real do is NO where near as high as that bar.
These would be perfect using them on a monkey bar set I have in my complexes playground. It's right outside. I could use it at night when no kids are out.
i use the monkey bars during all times of day. kids usually just get out of my way 😎
