    "Here's how to install the TRX on a wall. Now that you've finished installing it on a wall, this is a good time to mention that installing it from a ceiling is best."

    Wish I’d known this before my purchase. It’s a pain trying to do leg workouts against a door.

    Maybe a dumb question ....
    The main support beam that runs the length of the house in the basement is made of a series of (3) 2x10 studs that are nailed together (to make roughly a 6x10, yes I know it's less due to being dimensional lumber). The bottom of this beam is about 7.5' off the floor. I'm curious whether I'd be better off mounting the X-mount to the bottom or side of this support beam. If I mount to the bottom, the screws would be in the 2 outside 2x10s. If I mount to the side, the screws would go through the first 2 studs and maybe into the third. I'm not sure which is stronger, and more importantly would either mounting location compromise the strength of the beam?!?!

    hi . I have 2 wall mounts . I want to put 1 in very high on the wall ( as my ceiling is not secure enough. So i was thinking where to put the second one ? With resistance bands. Could you help me with that choice ? would you put in centered - mid range or maybe low at the floor ? What do you professionals recommend for optimal exercice combinations ? thx dirk from Belgium

    Can you make more detailed video of how you put it on anchor and not of your face?! And for "detailed" you can use wide shot to actually see how it is done. Thx.

    Is it a bad idea to mount this above a window? It's the only accessable load bearing wall in my fitness room.

    I have an unused fixture mount for a chandelier on the ceiling. The mount can support a fixture weighing over 200 lbs. I want to install the X mount directly to the electrical box, the same way I would mount the light fixture. I am not sure if this seriario is feasible. Has anybody ever tried something like this?

      Ceiling, so you have space underneath to work

    Serious question, is it safe to attach this in a 110 year old home. I’m not sure it’d be a good idea on a wall or even the ceiling. House is pretty much original. Structurally very sound, I’m just worried about stress on the wood.

    • @frogblues

      It's fine as long as there is no dry rot.

  • @frogblues

    A good mounting place would be in a header above a doorway because there's plenty of area to get a great connection for the lag bolts.

    • @tonyb282
      @tonyb282 Před 4 lety +1

      @@kyrinky If you mount it correctly you it can support over 220 lbs no problem. The mount / straps will hold no problem. You need to make sure the lag bolts screw into the stud properly.

    How does one layer of the cloth material hold 200+ pounds??

    • @michaelkulman7095
      @michaelkulman7095 Před 2 lety +1

      It's nylon strap or some similar material like climbers use or tow straps, like what a truck might pull
      another truck out of a ditch with.
      It's stronger than you or any human needs.

  • @PZMedic

    i have a low ceiling garage. would 6"8" be high enough to install the x mount?

    • @enda19
      @enda19 Před 2 lety +2

      I'm confused why people always ask these types of questions. It's all relative to how tall you are. You can also adjust your TRX strap to shorten or lengthen your straps. The height of the mount does not affect the integrity of the working load..

    • @catebarrett141

    • @garrettgibbons
      @garrettgibbons Před 2 lety +2

      Wall mount will have a higher vertical load tolerance, because the weight will generally be perpendicular to the anchors, rather than in line with them.
