Yup. The ongoing joke in the Mortal Kombat community is that Cole's Arcana power was literally plot armor.
My 3rd martial arts teacher was Scorpion in the first movie (Chris Casamassa). Guess you could say that makes me a member of the Shirai Ryu :p

Listen VERY closely when Scorpion appears in Cole's flashbacks. Scorpion is actually TALKING to Cole. I just recently started hearing it. When he appears in the mirror, he says "COLE!" Then later on, when he's in Cole's dream on the plane, he says "Free me." Each time it's in English. He's been in Hell for 404 years. He's probably picked it up from other dead folks in that time. Would be helpful.

I can't believe the fatalities we got. Of course the fights were AMAZING. And of course THEY WORKED IN THE TECHNO THEME. In the 3 words uttered by Kano "You feckin beauty " With regards to the lore changes people have mentioned, THIS is the exact argument people used to say Warcraft was a bad film. I personally loved the changes, especially since the 95 film people seem to forget about is Johnny killed Goro with the final fight was against Shang Tsung. I frequently ask myself when watching a film "Was I entertained?" The answer is FUCK YES

When Kano asked for an eggroll and calls Kung Lao "Kung Pao", it's kinda referencing to a comedy kung fu movie titled "Kung Pow".
Kung Lao did have a fatality like that, it was called buzzsaw but in the games he grabs their legs and pulls them into the spinning hat.
The movie fatality is more like his fatality in MK X, when he throws the spinning hat to the floor exactly like that, and throws the enemy face right into it. But in the game, it's just the face.
@@Gu12herme One of the rare examples of the movie doing it better, in my opinion. People are crapping on this movie occasionally but it's awesome. DEFINITELY better than the originals. The one thing that ISN'T better than the originals is Shang Tsung. You cannot simply replace Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa.
@@harleyjackson3708 Yeah, i loved the movie! Of course there's some problems (by script and budget), but i loved it. Yeah, Cary Tagawa IS Shang Tsung! But i also think that Chin Han did an awesome job being the sorcerer. He really delivers the feeling of danger when facing him and his totally blacked eyes.
This movie is the best video game to movie adaptation I hope the last of us hbo series is good too

It never seems to come up with anyone that Kung Lao catches this hat that's sharp enough to saw a person in half at high speeds yet he has absolutely not ONE CUT on his hands when he has to CATCH it. The hat isn't his Arcana. The teleporting is. As for the hat, he's just real good with it. So realistically he's in just as much danger as the target the second that thing takes air. I know it works like Captain America's shield but the difference is Cap's Shield isn't sharpened, it sticks in the wall by brute force. Kung Lao's hat is a sharpened blade. They could at least have given his suit wrist and inner thumb guards of some form.

I'm not quite sure what "man alive" actually means because I've never heard it before this video, but she only says it when violent things happen so I'm gonna assume it's like a statement of shock. I get it. Out of nowhere this movie has a man ride a vampire lady into a really sharp hat like a spinning circular saw which splits her in two like a log on a factory belt. You'd think a fight would occur first. Nope. Bifurcation by hat. Turned her into a busted spray paint can.
I know they needed someone to die but they did Kung Lao dirty , would have loved to see more of him in the sequels but oh well

Wth only 50 Million budget they used it the best they could , they had some great fights , fatalities , fanservice with one liners and easter eggs , characters choices most of them were good. That is what fans wanted and if the movie earns enough money the sequels will be even better.

Why is there a constant loss of sound?
The fact that they kept the original lore from Mythologies: Sub-Zero of Bi-Han being the one to kill Hanzo and his clan instead of Quan Chi taking his appearance shows the dedication they had to make fans happy.
I think Quan Chi's part made it better as it added more depth to the story and cause of Sub Zero/ Scorpion's rivalry. Although Sub Zero carried the movie along with Kano, he felt like just any other movie villain.
@@alop9535 2 years later but there's no reason to say that they can't or won't add Quan Chi to it somehow. Once Bi-han becomes Noob and Kuai Liang becomes Subzero things should get interesting.
They need to watch Mortal Kombat Legends Scorpion’s Revenge.

many people say, its bad.. yes its not an MCU movie, thats clear, but for a Mortal Kombat movie, i would say 70% good and okay mixed, 30% has room to improvement..
i enjoyed it overall...
also many complain its not about the actual Mortal Kombat tournament... there was a tv series Mortal Kombat: Conquest (1998) (i was 13 old back then) the whole series was about preventing Shao Kahn to take over earth ba schemes before the actual tournament happens.. cos the Old Gods decree/will only prevents him to march in with his Army's and take over, nothing more...
Jax has never heard Reiko's name. Yet, he asks for him specifically by name in the makeshift tournament. Maybe Reiko was a part of Sonya's crazy people yarn wall made out of pictures. Pictures, by the way, that they never explain how she got or why she believes in it all so hard for.
