A woman from China’s capital Beijing attracted close to 5 million likes for a painting she created with pieces of note paper. Her team shared a variety of artworks created using unorthodox methods online. But some have questioned the authenticity of the art pieces.

To the people who keep saying this is " too perfect to be true", its not easy to make art like this... well ultra harder than normal. They probably did alot of mistakes before and only showed the videos that ended in perfection

Her form of artistry is absolutely different, which to me makes it more worth observing.
More serious comment though, I hope this girl takes her approaches more seriously and some sponsor give her a chance to do a big exhibition and go pro. Maybe partner up with a more straight laced artist if she's only into pop art. Themes and subjects aside, I think her presentation really resonates with the modern audience everywhere.
But i think some speculate that maybe some of her work is fake, i have watched the end of this video and it seams very probable that some of it is fake

For the questions of authenticity,
3:21 : the back of the paper that was white was actually the wall, while the papers flipped, the wall showed.
3:27 : they painted the outside of the bowls too, that's why it looks full without blank spaces btwn bowls.

alvi sola You’re correct and incorrect about the bowls. Look closely at the chin area. The outsides may be painted but that would not cover the entire open area. There is some background drawing underneath.
Geo what do you mean?? From the perspective, you can’t even SEE the wood floor.
You made me look deep into it just for me to find it, I noticed a lot of imperfections. For example, she made the tip of the chin too blurred out compared to the rest of the jawline, and the bowl to the left is a ting to red compared to the former bowl, one bowl of the jawline is too sharp compared to the rest, the ear to the character’s left is a little wobbly because of bowls warping it, etc. (the more detailed the art piece is, the easier it is for the viewers to miss mistakes. That’s what I learned when I had people critique my art. So what I’m saying is, if you’re saying “too perfect, could be fake,” if you look closely, you can see the imperfections from doing said technique.) if it was just a faded image over it, then you would also still see the harsh reflections on the bowls.
Hannah Avila Upon further inspection I see I was wrong. The color between the bowls does not come from the floor nor from the sides of the bowls but rather from a triangular connector that attaches to the rims of the the bowls. Those connectors are painted to smooth the image. The bowls on the bottom right clearly show them.
At 0:17 you can see that the back of the papers are blank. I believe it's fake.

The one on the walls have nothing wrong, there’s a gap between every note which shows the white wall.
Regardless of authenticity, it’s pretty hard to make art or either medium (photoshop/mixed mediums). I really adore the transitions and different ways that get it done.

They call it 'unorthodox', and I call it 'Brilliant'... she's a creative genius! This is remarkable and I wish her nothing but success.
Someone should help this girl make a whole art exhibition and installation!

Herdannu Febrian late reply but if you search hard enough in the comments you kind find proof that they are real. All I can say is that the first one and the one with bowls are real, as well as the bubble wrap the red and blue glasses thing. Most of these are very well possible to make.

I'm going to sound like a 'hater'. Everyone seems to think all these are original Chinese works, but I have seen all these art styles done before from all around the world. I love the art dont get me wrong, but it bothered me that they were selling it like they were all unique art methods.

For your information, you can see many of these installations done by art students in college, the same students that in the future would make the "modern art that we all know"

Even so, why would it be any less relevant? It's a question of the amount of effort? So why is relevant to you the use of technologies? It's because you can really imagine the effort behind it, because it's something you comprehend.
This is what I see. You people prefer things that are accessible to you. Because you CAN'T see the conceptual part of the work just looking the painting, there is a half of the work you don't value, you're missing half, and it's worth half.
That does not happen with realism, or the illusion tricks in this video, they are what they are, and can be appreciated in their entirety.

This is more creative art than “modern art”, this is not considered real art in the art world, unless the artist can write an essay explaining the meaning.
Not really because of the essay but because of the techniques, they are not relevant to the content of the art itself/ it's non original/ the techniques aren't hers.
It's still art, and it could sell (like various "modern" artists) but it's more decorative than expressive
An art analysis could be written for each and every single one of these pieces. These are clearly all artworks. No artist would deny that. Why make negativity when there isn't any?
