Another reason to dislike celebrity / youtube personalities "fights"
@2ndPeterVBlack Devon vs Thor was absolutely shameful towards boxing and so does these kinds of fights, it's usually 2 guys with the agility of a walrus that's sand bagging through the time of each round and a bear hugging contest.
I just don't like those celebrities fights, as I stated multiple time I had rather watched Brian Shaw armwrestle
IMO if it’s all time greats or world class athletes in their respective professions giving it a try to really see how well they would do and to give one for the fans then I’m all for it. But if it’s some goofball shit like Jake Paul or any other influencer bullshit then I’m out for tuning in.
I think it could have been a real thing, but the hype wasn't there. After the fight of Eddie vs Thor, I think the demand from the fans wasn't high enough.
As a strongmen fan, I was disappointed when it was first announced. I don't want Mitch Hooper to stop his awesome debut in strongmen for a silly mma fight that can paralyze him for the rest of his life. I mean, a shot to the head from an over 300 pounds guy should be considered dangerous right ? Especially a strenght athlete.
I'm glad it's over. Keep Mitch in strongmen, and let Brian Shaw enjoy his retirement from strongmen. Maybe armwrestling ? Way less dangerous in my opinion. 👍
